the MCU is getting complex

I didn't realise the netflix uni is not quite fully in the MCU

JUst had a wiki-style binge on a website called bleeding cool.
https://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/06/06/feige-coul...
That seems the biggest reason why TV and films won't be mixing for now.

edit to add the Marvel civil war

Nice prediction. biggrin

Great lil vid on how Thor Ragnarok should have been far more bolder, and tis in with the viewpoint that the Asgard story is boring, and the Sakaar story pretty entertaining.
Also shows how Thor grows

Exactly! They should have stuck with Kenneth Brannagh. Still better than IM3 though.
I rather like IM3, its one I can watch again.

Will people still have the appetite for it after IW?
It's a good question, one I've asked myself. Still not seen Black Panther. I guess I'll watch IW1 and I'll know, if it's really good, chances are I will. But one thing I do love, the long story format, which coincidently enough, I've just watched a video on.

I think it's a tad annoying/sad later characters won't bet to have their stories wit the earlier ones, there won't be a Herc/Thor team up.

who owns what
seems She-Hulk is solely owned.

shame abut Namor, he's the one I would wish to see most, also Alpha Flight

You mean 2, obviously.

I never hated it. Actually I enjoyed it at the cinema first time around. Yes, it’s got a dull villain. No, it’s not one of the MCU’s best. But it was OK. (And when it killed someone close to Thor, it tried to make you care. Unlike another Thor sequel that everyone else seems to love.)
Yeah, I meant two. Tried on two occasions to watch it, ended it after 10 mins. Trued again and over a few days I watched it. Glad I did, it gets better as it goes on. Yeah the baddie is cut-out, and the story is a tad retread, but there were good moments, and it was interesting to see THor fight in Greenwich and have a load of students watch.
I knew the twist already, and so could see the hints given that forecast it. Nice.

I suspect after this some of the old guard will be gone and I would be worried if they are relying on Dr Strange and Black Panther but Spiderman and AntMan are good so there is some hope.
I'd be worried too. Dickybackwundercutch isn't RDJ, and Chris Evans has been superb as Captain AMerica. He actually made me like the character and I think he is my fave. Black Panther isn't a replacement.
RDJ is yugely expensive, and Evans will be post IW2, so the flag-bearers looks uncerratin to me, but the side stuff looks excellent, at least we'll have one more Guardians film and Spider-Man film. Oh and THor, he'll probably be the new Odin and take a back seat.
I do think it's sad we won't get certain characters to interact like THor and Hercules but ho hum

Whilst that is true - I think he's become somewhat typecast. If you look at his filmography over the last decade, it's mostly MCU.

I think RDJ might find it difficult to get jobs post MCU and I suspect he'll end up accepting somewhat lower fees to appear in cameos/bit parts (assuming his characters isn't killed off in IW2).
8 MCU films in 10 year, I guess it take up one's time. I looked at this page.

"In 2007, Downey was cast as the title character in the film Iron Man,[75] with director Jon Favreau explaining the choice by stating: "Downey wasn't the most obvious choice, but he understood what makes the character tick. He found a lot of his own life experience in 'Tony Stark'."[76] Favreau insisted on having Downey as he repeatedly claimed that Downey would be to Iron Man what Johnny Depp is to the Pirates of the Caribbean series: a lead actor who could both elevate the quality of the film and increase the public's interest in it.[40][77][78][79] For the role Downey had to gain more than 20 pounds of muscle in five months to look like he "had the power to forge iron".[80]"

How right Favearu was! Easy to forget they could have screwed it way back. I'm actually looking forward to the Doolittle remake, if it's like the Rex Harrison film and not like the Ed Murphy crud.

James Gunn FIRED by Disney Marvel

jeeez, bad news there. I was only reading about Gunn and the GotG tonight, I was a tad puzzled over the GotG2/IW timeline.
Dang. I hope they get someone who has Gunn's vision to complete the third film

Well it's official, comcast didn't nix it after all.

I hope Feig handles this well, I don't actually want to see any more x-men films, they've been overused horribly.

INteresting snippet, MCU has no other films lined up for 2020 save for GotG3...which hasn't started preproduction....and might not...
