Not had the new Point Break Trailer?
Discussion
First surprise when opening this topic was seeing the name Ray Winstone mentioned. Couldn't work out how they would fit him into the story, turns out they didn't bother trying! Can't see why they have him in it unless there is a sudden shortage of American actors that I wasn't aware of.
Rename the characters, rename the film and just release it on it's own. If they really really really must refer to Point Break then at least call this number 2 and make it about the kids or something. Having a remake rarely works but Hollywood for some reason haven't understood this despite trying 100's of times.
Just makes me realise how well cast the original was, despite my initial misgivings about that at the time.

If ever there was a film that didn't need remaking, it was this one.
It's a bit of lightweight action thriller fun. The original casting was spot on and it was paced perfectly.
Whilst not one of the "best films" of all time, it is, without doubt, one of my favourites and it hits its own spot perfectly.
The trailers have been more than enough to put me off the rehash, so I'm not surprised it's just not very good.
