Well, nobody has had their eye gouged out with a spoon as yet .
I would say this is a more straightforward drama than Utopia. It doesn't have the surrealist feel.

Human with synth parts, this is from the cast list on the wikipedia page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humans_(TV_series)

Colin Morgan[1] as Leo Elster, a fugitive who is trying to track down synths from his past. He is the son of David Elster, one of the major scientists on the original synth project, who was 'resurrected' with at least some cybernetic components after he drowned when he was thirteen; he is able to run a synth program and was shown charging from cables after he was injured.

I'm really loving this show as well, but a few things do grate. Why would a synth have to use a phone? That would be one of the first 'features', to build in a SIM card so you could communicate after you had sent it out shopping and realised you were short of toilet rolls.

All the normal synths can communicate directly and share data with each other - The sentient ones don't (Early episode synth asked Anita - "Why don't you share?") I assume they are avoiding synth data paths for their own security?

And the jobsworth 'carer' said "the emergency services have been contacted" before being shot, implying she does have an inbuilt SIM card.

Edit: I suppose it could be a dedicated link because she's been supplied by social services. ,

The 'normal' synths do have it. The 'enhanced' synths don't.

Lucky she can get a damn service!

Reminded me of "ELO - Yours Truly 2095 Lyrics"

...
Almost mythology, but she has a heart of stone,
She has an IQ of 1,001,
She has a jump suit on,and she's also a telephone.
