I don't understand why the Carrie Ann Moss character said she'd need to take the synthetic apart to see what's wrong with it. If your PC has a virus, do you remove all of the hardware to find the problem in the software?

I didn't understand it as physically take it apart but to disect the code.

But again you can copy the code. Like they did in the 1st season with Anita. Take a copy off onto a laptop.

I think it's just a way of having someone "kill" a sentient synth, just as a court case might be used to give them rights. It suits the plot more than anything else.

It's not a program to be over analysed...

Yep, Westworld is also guilty of this, with that 'technician' feeling the need to cut off the synth's head with a saw he just happens to be carrying, presumably to make/force us to feel empathy with them, rather than the nasty humans..

Depends how the brain works, maybe it makes new connection like living tissue. Doesn't seem that odd to me. I thought there was one that had to be hacked up in the first series?

So, save me the aggro of watching it (having recorded it), is it any good? I thought the last series started well, and got less unique/entertaining when the synths started acting human.
