For me this is becoming East Enders with androids. I'm rapidly loosing interest.

I lost interest during the last series but this looks a lot slicker. I see AMC mentioned in the credits and Carrie Anne Moss of course.

Enjoying it so far.

I can see this turning quite dark especially mainly with Carrie-Ann Moss' character.

I'll probably keep watching it but I think I liked the close focus on particular characters in the first series. It was more involving/personal. It's all a bit spread between characters this season.

But Gemma Can is lovely and I still like some of the overriding themes and ideas etc.

Hope it does get darker as that'll probably make it more interesting and watchable.

Well, some interesting turns and developments building, even if not Earth-shattering at the moment.

Still liking this series a lot!

I agree, this was the best episode so far when it came to 'twists' smile

It looks like he has sold Mia to pay for his mothers rest home costs. I think he will regret it and get her back.

I think there's a number of clever angles being used here - the black cafe user referring to the synth and her role in a reversal of recent attitudes etc etc.

What I like less is the 'aware' synths being almost 100% human (expressing emotion etc) and thus too much like everyone else - I'd prefer to see some trait in them that always surfaces no matter what they do (asides from plugging in for a re-charge). But then we'd not have the issue with dealing with 'others' IYSWIM.

What was the deal with the copper getting beaten? Are the crims just so powerful they can leave him battered knowing he won't re-double his efforts and come after them? That his bosses and colleagues are not to be trusted?

I thought so too. Hot girlfriend who can make your business run better. Seemingly hard wired carer who would be happy to look after his mother at home if he can't afford the care home.

When you're dealing in concious synths and are backed by uber rich shadow organisations and the copper dlearly isn't aure who you are, giving him a kicking is a deterrent to get him to back off IMO.

You got me thinking. Do they make synths to customers bespoke requirements? If you had an idea of what would be tour 'perfect 10', could they prepare a mock up on a CAD system, and when it looks right, build it for you.

I dunno, it's just not working somehow, a bit like the synth that does a one sided impression of a Hindu deity all the time.

I tried watching the original Swedish version of this but the second series just ground to a halt. I hoped the UK producers might have nipped and tucked it a bit here and there but it's just as boring now.
