New US Series, Mr. Robot

That made no sense
There were definitely scenes where we see Ray operating outside of prison without Elliot (when he's in the van and when he visits the previous admin). Is Ray another prisoner? Is he the Warden? How can he get in and out of prison? How does he get others in and out of prison?

Absolutely no idea how it worked as there were bits that were contradictory but I suspect it's a similar setup to the psychiatrist if that makes sense. Ie. A visitor, or maybe the whole thing was just presented through the filter of the unreliable narrator as I could see how it could have all worked with everyone 'inside' as it was still all criminals or small spaces.
Key underlying story all the way through seems to be the death of cash and this E-Coin thing coming along, which I'm sure will raise all sorts of questions about how really came up with the idea for what happened and why. More perception shift and misdirection which will make the viewer reassess what they've seen.
Third series has apparently been commissioned.

He's the warden. Presumably the other admin was a guard. The muscle was a guard. Solitary was the basement. Hospital was prison hospital. Mothers dining room was visiting room. As I speculates earlier in the thread everything pointed to this. I enjoyed it. Major spoilers for episode 6...
Seems all the rumours were true - he in in prison and the whole thing was an illusion. This is mostly being lambasted as a bad turning point by online reviews; for me, it's more about where they go with it
While I'm still enjoying S2, I don't look forward to it like I did S1, there's just nothing to grab me, no "what will happen next". The best thing about this season as mentioned above is Dom, be interesting to see how she develops.
And why is Angela being so weird this season? She's turning into female Elliot with odd social interactions.
For me, this season has got better as it went along. First episode was largely undigestable for example but it has picked up pace and become a lot more coherent. The revelation means that all the weird Elliot stuff now makes sense instead of just being baffling/feeling 'off'. I thought the first season was the opposite - it got more and more fragmented and random as it went on, presumably mirroring the state of Elliots mind.Seems all the rumours were true - he in in prison and the whole thing was an illusion. No idea what is going on with Angela. Presumably she is super-smart and has formulated a long term plan and is now playing 'E-Corp' but you are right that she now seems almost to be acting like a mirror Elliot. I do hope that they aren't going to pull an Elliot/Mr Robot thing on Angela, say with her and Darlene being one and the same.

Loved season 1 but after the first few episodes of the second season I nearly gave up. Glad I decided to carry on with it though and binge on it over the weekend as the last couple have been great. It has gone a bit Tarantino, what with all the violence and double crossing. Can't wait for the next one this week.
Finished the first series last night, must say the penultimate one confused me for a bit until I twigged it was a flashback (I really should have realised when he's advising someone to buy a Pentium but didn't twig until he says Pulp Fiction's on in the cinema ) Quite slow moving in places but enjoyed it enough to try series 2.
I was quite getting into Season 1 when it was just authentic hackers vs evil corporation. But then they did the whole "just a dream" thing and I felt like I'd wasted the last 10 hours.
From the sounds of it Season 2 gets even worse. The schizophrenia just seems like a lazy plot device so that they can throw any old random stuff into an episode and then say it didn't happen. Like Lost where they tried to kid you that there was some deep meaning to it all, but really they were just making it up as they went along.

I think the sister is showing the present and how fsociety are unravelling against dark army and Elliot's showing what's going on now and filling in the blanks as we go along. It's not all weirdness and flashbacks.
Freakin crazy.
We assuming the phone is tracing back to the house of the husband of the woman he murdered?
Also guessing since Elliot/mr robot owns the dark army, darlene is okay.
That last scene was so awesomely shot. The crosswalk hitting zero on the first bullet was an ace touch.
Also is Angela working with someone? The posters on the subway heavily hinted that it was being recorded? She's either smart and up to something or just totally broken. I'd write it off but the posters were too in your face and potentially foreshaddowy.
Ahhhh I love this show!
