Kevin McCloud's Escape to the Wild
Discussion
i'm pretty sure that the 54 plate disco in front of welsh guys car was the crew car.
in terms of them being totally off grid - i'm not convinced. anyone else notice that when they were skinning the reindeer - there was a web address on the front of the chalet that kevin was staying in.
couldn't quite make out the address but it had something about wilderness courses on it.
they are certainly not as off grid as was made out.but...
thats the one in the series that i would love to have a go at. i'd much prefer to be somewhere cold than somewhere hot.

Quite like the cabin in the woods idea. Just a bit further south. A place with four proper seasons. Wyoming somewhere like that. Also there I can't remember if they mentioned need it but when I was in Norway they said all the game animals were 'owned' by the Inuit so in order to hunt you had to pay the Inuit fir a licence. You can't just walk into the woods with a rifle and take an elk.

3 day trip=£1400,why so much if living on £200 a month mmmm all sounds dodgey to me and as a fan of game of thrones i would always be looking out for white walkers lol

I think the reason why many of the situations featured on the show seem dodgy is that the producers of the programme basically try to misrepresent what the expats are doing. This is the second time they've failed to mention that the people featured in the show are actually running a tourist type business in their location.martin
Instead, they pretend that the people concerned decided to just head out into the great wild outdoors with no plans, 'to get away from it all' and live self-sufficiently off the land. Hence, the whole scenario as portrayed on camera looks dodgy as puck.

I wonder if it's also a breach of product placement rules to favour the commercial break vending?Instead, they pretend that the people concerned decided to just head out into the great wild outdoors with no plans, 'to get away from it all' and live self-sufficiently off the land. Ie those buying normal ad slots have legal assurances re what else is advertised?
