Noises are being made that it may be the Chris Evans and Stig show, and not Evans, two co-presenters and the Stig, i.e. Clarkson Top Gear format.

"They're the Three Stooges. They are the Bee Gees. They are that and I'm not. I'm me," he said at the Mipcom TV trade fair in Cannes, France.
"I'm a solo artist at the moment, I'm on my own. So do I form a band or not?"
"And also, the second you wander off into the, 'Well, I'm the main host, and this is my mate over here and my mate over here', if there's three of you and you go and make a film together, suddenly you're doing what they did.
"Why would you do that? Because they were brilliant at it. I'm not going to do that.
"So, one thing is for sure, there's not going to be me and one guy there, and one guy there, that's not going to happen."

I can see his point. Why copy the same format? If it's not as good, it'll be derided simply because him and whoever else are not Clarkson, Hammond and May.
I could envisage some kind of glorified SIARPC element whereby instead of some crappy interview, the guests do some of the roadtrips. Could be all manner of guests from different walks of life as well.
However, there will need to be some kind of sop to informed car reviewing, so they'll need a motoring journalist on board.

Has Mr Evans commented on the 3 stooges going with Amazon?
With a reported £160 million in funding, I'd not be surprised if he is sticking pins in a Clarkson effigy whilst emitting a green hue. Which is nice....

Well, you can be sure that Plato will not be in Top Gear. Quite sure that nobody even gives a hint until Mr.Evans approves them to do so.
I think the writing has been on the wall since he was on the recent TFI.Scuffers said:

Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but Jason Plato is tweeting about his new TV deal!
Is it a 10 part serial on him learning how to overtake another racing car without hitting it?Edited by 750turbo on Saturday 17th October 18:50
I think I've seen it already, ITV4 Sunday afternoons, right?
