Who? Can't stand friends for what it's worth. Yank canned laughter tripe.
When you say who, it implies you don't know who he is, this should be followed by asking if he is an acrobat or perhaps a student of geology. Rather than that you immediately contradict not knowing who he is by stating you do not like the show in which he played his most famous role. What a silly sausage.Funk said:
Weren't they supposed to have CH, Sabine & Coulthard?
Also I read Richard Porter's book ("And On That Bombshell") and hadn't realised how deeply integrated he was with TG. Is he still working with them or will he go with C, M & H? His relationship was really with them for 13 years or so, I don't think TG on Amazon would be the same without him and Wilman (is Wilman going with the trio to Amazon too?).
Wilman has gone with C, M & H. Porter has not stated either way last I heard but I agree Wilman & Porter would be part of the "winning" team. Also I read Richard Porter's book ("And On That Bombshell") and hadn't realised how deeply integrated he was with TG. Just stumbled across what must have been his screen test, quietly released 3 weeks ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDtgCnRjztw

Fantastic coup for the Beeb, I'm sure people on here would complain whoever they got.
Massive coup....apart from the 34 episodes of Episodes he already filmed for the BBC....it doesn't sound like he's exactly turning down work...he's basically done nothing of any note since Friends.TEKNOPUG said:

He seems pretty good at acting. Well, in episodes, he does play himself.Hmmm, Joey would be proud.....
Chris Evans will ask him "so, which of these three cars is the best Matt"? cue "smell the fart" moment, while he pretends to think about it.... TV magic.
I have never seen an episode of friends so I have no idea if this chap is good, bad or indifferent as an actor. Fronting Top Gear is slightly different to acting so I guess it will all depend on how well he works with Chris Evans. I don't expect he will have the idiosyncrasies of James May and I have not heard who the 3rd person will be, indeed if they intend to have a 3rd person. It all seems to be up the air at the moment.

He's not exactly verastile, only ever having played "Joey" in Friends, "Joey" in Joey and "Himself" in Episodes.
Don't forget the dashing heroic spaceman in "Lost in Space" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rE89sq-uYIdpl said:

I'm not sure, but I definitely do https://twitter.com/achrisevans/status/69526967105...
He comes across as a decent man, I've liked him in Friends and extras but presenting is a completely different skill.
He may be good but I see it as a sop to get a more "girly" audience to watch. I hope it works but, tbh, I doubt it.
Should have asked Harry Styles if that's what they wanted.
