It wasn't that long ago that he was publicly saying that he did not have the slightest interest in presenting TG!

They will have to change the format completely then and make sure they get the other presenters right too. Hammond and May with Chris Evans won't work.

Chris Evans only has the high breakfast show listeners because the other shows, both R1 and local radio are dire. He's an interesting enough chap but not a TG presenter in the current form of the show.

Maybe it'll actually be a car show again then, instead of a show with cars.

Well he's certainly a petrol head and he must have some decent Ferrari contacts. All depends who else they can get.

Personally I cannot abide the wretched Evans - so I doubt whether I'll be watching Top Gear once he starts presenting it.

Who are the other presenters?

Viewing figures will be interesting.....

I hated Clarkson. I found him boorish, overbearing, predictable and dull. Exactly the kind of public school bully that turns up at parties and gets on everyone's tits. Evans is modest, intelligent, funny and above all can add some much needed sparkle to a tired old TG. I look forward to seeing who the other two are. smile
Quite like that post smile

I can't stand Nick Grimshaw, but id rather listen to him.

Ive no interest in watching TG in the slightest now tbh. And it was one of my favourite shows.

yes

Until we see it we won't know how good or bad it is, so why not (OK, out of character for PH) have an open mind and wait and see.

I'd rather stick knitting needles into my ears and out through my eyeballs than listen to Nick Grimshaw.

Chris Evans, on the other hand, is actually a very good presenter. I didn't rate him years ago, but I now think he was ahead of his time - or I was too immature to appreciate how good he was.

Yep. Let's face it, who else was it going to be? I wonder who else they'll get. My fiver is on Jodie Kidd and James Martin.

Evans is an irritating ginger wazzock. Top Gear is over.
