See the BBC are short of funds what a pity they didnt have a show with world wide appeal that they could sell.

I do not for one moment give credence to BBC's pleading poverty in recent years. Rather than their "The Licence Payer will Provide" stance for far too long, how about spending what funds are available on better staffing levels and better programming subjects.

So we're told a thousand jobs will go. Probably still leaving many highly rewarded non-jobs within the widespread and massive organ which are really not necessary. Being the nearest thing to Public Sector Broadcasting, even after these cuts are actioned, no doubt there will still be many well paid non-job passengers which are never required or justified.

Ant Anstead from For The Love Of Cars sent a cryptic tweet yesterday...

@AntAnstead: So leaving london (dripping with sweat) knowing things will be different from now on! #bigday

Has to be Top Gear...
or perhaps just the other car show he was already signed up for with the BBC??

as long as the BBC want to involve themselves in politics rather than broadcasting then I would be happy to see them go.

Seems to be the mantra of every public funded organisation. Let the tax payer support it as we're all too special to be judged and should continue on our merry way. aholes!

Only one mention for Colin Furze... He would be great, lots of enthusiasm and eccentric ideas, although his apparent disregard for h&s might not suit the BBC.

I did like Suzi Perry's little joke about this in the F1 qualifying yesterday - "I'm joined by the two best co-presenters... in the world"

Don`t forget this will be Top Gear on the 21st century BBC. Amazing that there will be a ginger 49 year old presenting it! To get the ethno diversity targeting met? Any ones guess.
No doubt someone within the BBC is saying there should be a woman who, ideally, Will be from an ethnic minority and have a disability. Bonus ticks in the box for a woman AND someone who is disabled alongside Chris.

Thinking semi seriously for a second, what with the BBC and their love for ticking boxes.

This guy might not be a bad shout, and to be fair to him he is not a bad presenter.

Ade Adepitan:

But maybe his disability would be too limiting..

If he could have a sex change before the start of the program he'd be a cert to satisfy the BBC.
