Greecy Quentin Wilson eww I'd rather have my eyes injected with sulphuric acid
I met him once at my work, the most arrogant arse I have ever, he was promoting the s class and even my boss said he was the most stuck up arse he has ever had to deal with other than himself
He's a dinosaur from the brylcream era no chance IMO

After all this time, you've picked out the three people I would actually like to watch together. I think this would be a very interesting chemistry.Guy Martin
David Mitchell
Steve Coogan.

As a non-driver, I spurn this illusion, and welcome the self-driving car. Its rise would retrospectively transform the indolence and nervousness that has prevented me from getting a driving licence into foresight. I must have intuited which way society was going – technologically, at any rate. I may have wasted hours learning grammar and punctuation rules now rendered as irrelevant as heraldry, but at least I didn't bother much with the highway code.

Steve Coogan is a great shout... doubt he'd ever do it but he loves cars and is just a naturally funny guy, so is well suited.
Jason Plato appearing on TFI is surely a massive clue! No need to pay a Stig, either.
Jodie Kidd is awful, VBH would be much better from a banter point of view.
Why do we need "funny" and "banter"? It should be about the cars not the personalities, shouldn't it? Or does that not matter anymore? Jason Plato appearing on TFI is surely a massive clue! No need to pay a Stig, either.

Or is the format just about a bunch of losers parked on chairs trying to outtalk each other with their diminishing knowledge of what they drive and how it actually works? I want information, informative discussion from a serious car show. Knowledge that I will find useful, if I just want entertainment, I have lots to choose from.

The BBC will ensure there is a female amongst them
Haven't they ticked the oppressed, minority box by hiring a Ginga?I happen to like Evans but I guess he'll be dropping Radio2? Which would be a shame.
Plato is a good character. As is Martin and Glenister.
Very few women work in TV with cars. Martin Clunes' drag act is dull. The squealing bush pig from 5th Gear is well, a squealing bush pig.
I rate Perry as being on TV because she's actually good at her job. And her banter with the bike racers shows she has the skills for this kind of tv show.
All in though, it'll work better being just three blokes acting like immature dicks.
So the beeb will have to fit in ethnic minority, homosexual, female somewhere. And probably chuck in some disability as well to cover all the bases they are scared of.
And then chuck in Dianne Abbot for the other boxes.

Depends - do you want to watch it on BBC2 on a Sunday evening, or on Discovery Shed late night Wednesday?Chris Evans will help the show continue in the vein that viewers have been accustomed to of late - Childish, predictable humour cushioning a show that occasionally features and informative review.
It was st and will continue to be st.

I doubt he would be in with a shout and to be honest I would rather see him continue on the "classic car Show" which has the makings of a decent prog. Strangely I have met Quentin Wilson and he came across as a decent guy, knew what he was talking about but not arrogant at all. James Martin (the chef) would be a decent addition - he is a real petrolhead and a decent presenter
I hope not!I always quite liked his progs as he came across as a normal type of person, although I thought he looked a complete plonker when he did the Mille Miglia or was it the Targa Florio? My wife met him once as he was with someone she knew and said he was completely arrogant and the way he spoke to or ignored some people (not her) was embarrassing - not that I guess it would / should affect the prog!
As much as I'd like to see Guy Martin presenting it I doubt he would, his own stuff is more suited to his style and in his autobiography he mentions his dream job is being a lorry mechanic and not liking all the attention from being famous etc - Top Gear would only make that worse.
Does anyone know if Richard Porter will still be doing the script, or if he'll be going with Clarkson and the rest to Netflix/wherever they end up?
I think the best bet would have been for the BBC to rest Top Gear for a few years and come back with a new format, not just try to rehash it with a new team.
