I'd have to agree. I found the acting pretty poor and too polished for my liking and I'd give it a 5.5-6/10.

Given the poor quality of films over the past few years I can see why some people might get a little over-excited about it given the way it was shot.

excellent! This is one of the best films of it's type. Can't think of anything else recently that it's akin to.

Soldado was a good effort, dark and suspenseful for the most part with some great performances from the leads, the pay-off at the end was a bit disappointing, but i guess it's set-up for another sequel, solid 7/10.

I'd agree with this. I hadn't watched either film until yesterday, where I watched both. I found the second much better to be honest.

Can't help but feel soldado was nothing more that a mission Impossible gone wrong.

Compared to the first it's very poor.

The storyline says back and forth, you never really get any flow.

Seems cheap and nasty in comparison.

Scenes like doing sign language with angel simply went on too long, and for what?
