I know those features weren't ever written to be amazing for the end of an era, but that was pretty dire.
What a totally st way to end it all. I think that was the last place on earth they wanted to be

Top cocking about, will be missed, although I expect we'll get much of the same with the Netflix series.

It's entertaining once you accept what it is, but agree it really needed to move on.

Best of luck to Chris Evans...

Apparently it will be on ITV and will be on a Sunday night at 8pm....strange why they picked that time and day! wink

It's just the way the show was heading - it was all so predictable. I'm glad they showed it, or else we would all have been wondering what we had missed.

BTW nive to see May put legal number plates on the 304 after he'd "restored" it.

It wasn't a good show because it wasn't Top Gear, just some stale leftovers that needed to be dished out.

The normal show has the studio banter, news and a guest appearance to make it work as a formula.

Sad end though.

This. Needs a complete refresh. Hope Chris and the new team offer something different but good.

I assume you didn't read the description. Spares or repair.

If you don't want an absolute shed you need to spend about 1500. Cheapest runners are about a grand.( recently sold a jeep and a pinin and frontera were in my list as dog transport)

Anyway. Didn't enjoy tonight's episode. Shame, but it also highlights with just those two in the studio they bring nothing. They are both straight men to clarkson.

Amusing. It was well put together and funny. What follows will have to be so different.

Yep this.

It needed the studio bits to balance the cocking around.

One thing I am glad of though - that May and Hammond didn't stay to go it alone. As a duo they just don't work - it needs Clarkson to round things off - they only really work as a trio. Let's hope they come up with an alternative on another channel.

Felt pretty sad when they said goodbye - such shame to bow the series out on such a low point. frown

I enjoyed most of the show tonight but agree it did show that the format as was had run its course. Nothing new in the challenges over what had been done in previous series - I really think they had run out of ideas within the constraints they worked to. Hope that whatever the four do next has a different approach, in the same way I hope Chris Evans revives the BBC show. It won't be the same, but the more that things change...

Who noticed that Clarkson said, "I hate working on Top Gear?"

Subtle hint, perhaps?
