We started to watch this with the impression they would be doing some really clever cover ups, but it seems that to cover up a tiny little tattoo on someones arm, obviously only a full sleeve will do. Don't get me wrong, the artwork is absolutely fantastic, but the whole thing seems a little over the top!

Whats with the black girl that just wanders in halfway through the consultations and says "hiya" and then utters some other inane crap when she sees the tattoo? Seriously, what is she being paid for?
I wonder if she is supposed to be the receptionist/cleaner/tea maker/apprentice type person.
Whaaaaaat??!! That is so RACIST!!1!!!1 thats just implying shes only good for a menial job while the WHITE PEOPLE have the skills and talent to do the tattoos??!! Who can i write to, to complain?

But seriously, do they really think the viewer actually believes its a real shop, with a real receptionist? Are those people walking off the street and just ignoring a full film crew there?

However, criticisms aside, it was quite compulsive viewing (i think tattoos are awful)

Second bloke, named Jhon,WTF ? can't even spell John correctly and his tattoos are all weird.

Not sure I get your humour, but I presume they think it's a TV show where they can get a cover up done for free and they get to appear on television.

Some of the tattoos that are being covered up aren't that bad. Black girl with stars for example. Seems they need more volunteers. I might see if they will cover up my crap tribal arm tattoo!

From what I have seen, some of their work on the cover ups are hideous. They do some giant piece of some crap picture as a cover up.

I've seen the one with the zombie arm-cock and that's about it. Seemed quite amusing.

Flicking through Sky Go it seems it's on in a few mins on E4 so might have a watch...

I know absolutely nothing about tattoos but was surprised to see than they use a paper stencil tracing type thing for the outline. Is this the norm?

Yes,unless the artist is going to draw free hand on the skin which one of the males did in the last episode,on a woman's boob

This is just a show isn't it?

Is there really a place called tattoo fixers in London, I noted at the end credits something along the lines of "If you want to appear on the show contact production company or words to that effect".

Sounds like its a show for wanabee tv media type people. Doesn't sound like a place you could make an appointment between your lunch break and the two tattoo artists will be waiting on you with apprentice dollybird going ooh what made you get that 5 days a week. They'll be more likely to be found smoozing around Hoxton Sq.

The artists normally have their own studio's and the production company just book out their time in advance for filming and cover their day rate plus extra. Please apply to be on the show and then turn up when requested for filming. Its made to appear like they just pop in and get a quick tattoo but often the tattoo's themselves can take hours to do so its probaly filmed over a couple of weeks.

It seemed odd that the last episode of this series the shop suddenly got made over and the artists looked different. Perhaps they mixed in the wrong episode?

Some of the cover-up tattoo's are very high standard and look fantastic compared to the originals. I think the size is dependent on the original tattoo and how easy it is to cover, and also the person getting the tattoo might want something larger.

Their work doesn't compare to stuff I saw on Miami Ink.

The show I saw last night the guy had a cock inked on to his arse cheek. It was a plain tattoo and not massive. He ended up walking out with a massive rose on his arse. It covered the whole thing! Who wants a giant rose on their arse?!?

Anyone watching the new series?
They have a different female tattooist (less tats on her)

The first episode had one of the female victims from the Alton Towers accident in.

Preferred the other lady tattooist.
Wonder why she's not in it any more

I don't think that the change of tattooing wench will make any real difference to the entertainment value.
