They can make then see (or not see) anything they want so it would be more logical to just use helicopters to get to remote bits of the park.

Another thing that annoyed me was one of the chats a character had with a host, they asked if they had spoken with anyone else recently and the response was 'no' They then said to erase this interaction. Um, and so no one else could have done the same?
Their audit trails are crap.

But hosts can respond differently to different people, certainly Ford, I would also assume the head of behaviour (Bernard) would have superior privileges compared to those beneath him.

4. The Bill & Ted lifts that magic staff to any part of the park...
Indeed.
Very very annoying.

Sure... let's hike to the middle of nowhere to find an AWOL host... but to get to a part of the world that is off-limits and should be uninhabited (Ford's childhood home recreation, IIRC) ... GET IN THE LIFT FROM AN HQ BASED IN A FRIGGING MOUNTAIN!!!!

The lifts in HQ would take you to the lovely bar/pool complex that annoying English-narrative dude hangs out it while perfecting his douchiness.
Or they take you to the basement filled with ex-hosts and bizarre power supply issues.

Because nothing breaks the immersion of your $40,000 a day vacation more than a helicopter flying over the homestead

Btw, the lifts only take them to other levels, they use a hyperloop style transport to get around, you see it in Episode 3

Out of interest, is there a theory knocking around regarding Bernard's Skype back home to his wife (earlier in the series)?

- Was it completely fabricated (by Ford) using a host as 'his wife' to communicate with him?

- Was Bernard a real person with a real life who has been knocked off and duplicated, potentially similar to what Ford is doing now in his little lab (duplicating Elsie, possibly)

I guess option two would kill off the whole 'Bernarnold' theory.

If you really want to know the answers to those questions this isn't the thread. Try the other one

I asked for theories, not answers.

Yes there was a theory that Bernard's conversations with his wife were simply Ford questioning him to see if he was becoming aware, yes there was a theory Bernard was based on a real person (Arnold) and that Arnold was killed and Ford recreated him as Bernard. There's never been any suggestion in the show that Bernard was based on anyone other than Arnold, it's wishful thinking by those who refuse to believe any of the evidence we've been presented with to date.

Do you guys make notes or something?
I'm completely lost.

Bernard is a robot. Delores was one of the first. Teresa is dead but may have been trying to send secrets out. MiB has been there for years and sounds like he's trying to find somewhere real. White hat likes Delores but she's now going a bit funny and doesn't know why(nor does white hat). Black hat is back. Gangster black and snake lady keep nicking the safe but their story doesn't seem to go anywhere. Ford is top dog and probably killed Arnold. English guy is a useless overacting prick. Black boss lady I have no idea. Maeve is turning real and getting out of there (she can also change scripts now). Asian tech is useless. Maeves skinny friend was decommissioned by drilling into her brain instead of just retiring her. Teddy might have killed a lot of people in the past. He likes Delores but is a bit simple. Mexican bandit used to be dragged along by MiB but recently he went back to head honcho of something. There is some civil war thing going on. And some funny dressed up guys (Wyatts guys?) are going round killing everyone. Dirty lady is one of them.

Did I get it all?

Seriously I think I might have to go through and rewatch the first 9 eps before the last one

If the chat wasn't all in his head, the 'wife' could be a robot somewhere in the park? We know that Ford has the robots chat to one another to enhance their humanity.

Once it was revealed that Bernard was a host, I assumed that was in his head and we were just seeing a replayed memory or something. Can't take anything we see at face value, I think!

Got to say I think its disappeared up its own ar$e. Its got a bad case of the Nolans - over thinking it and making it much more convoluted that it needs to be. A pity because it looks great.
