Notice the quote from Romeo and Juliet at the end? I wonder how inappropriate it is. Trailer looks good, but then all the good bits squeezed into 60 seconds would. JJ Abrams rarely delivers on promise...
Looks like Total Recall meets The Village with a touch of I, Robot chucked in. The original was dark but is over-hyped nowadays, as, I suspect, the series will be. I'd like it to be good though.

JJ Abrams seems to deliver all very quickly and then run out of ideas - As was the case with ' Alias ' - an astonishingly god 1st season which seemed to consume about 7 years worth of great ideas and development and reached a sudden stop about midway through season 2.Trailer looks good, but then all the good bits squeezed into 60 seconds would. Did much better with Person Of Interest and as a hardened Trekkie I've enjoyed his take on Star Trek.
Top 10 Things You Need To Know About HBOs Westworld: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGt8zmXOIi0
It has a unique look as you would expect from Jonathan Nolan and the scenery is stunning. I appreciate it's on HBO but the excessive use of bad language spoils it for me. It's not that I don't see the relevance but more that it detracts from the dialogue. I'm used to precise conversations in Nolan's work and in this case the profanity seems to serve little purpose other than to delay the delivery. It is a deeply paranoid series and there are many nods to Person Of Interest in theme, style, characters, music and my favourite of all, " Can you hear me ? ".

I have to say the swearing seemed quite in keeping, given what else was happening.Edited by cologne2792 on Monday 3rd October 23:49
It was a good pilot, I just hope Abrams doesn't put a polar bear in episode 2.
