Angel Dust played by Gina Carano, a bit too butch for my tastes but whatever floats your boat! biggrin

They do take some liberties with her powerset in the film though, no way she could go toe-to-toe with Colossus, not for that long at any rate.

I did get the impression that Colossus wasn't in any real danger.
I also got the feeling that the Gina character might turn up and ask him for a date later. biggrin

Thanks! She looks just right to me wink

I don't think we've ever really seen colossus do something of decent length. He's popped into many of the films, mostly teaming up with Wolverine for their signature move but he's never had much more than a bit part really..... what's his screen time like in this?

I'd say he is probably the second main superhero character after Dead Pool so quite a lot actually. Still a bit too one dimensional in character for my liking but as you say he's had a pretty poor showing till now and we get to see him in a proper stand up fight in this one so I'll let that pass for now. If he is in the next one however I'd expect a bit more character development.

It's very good. Colossus was always my fave back in the day, and he has been criminally overlooked in all the X-films.
He has loads more time in this and does cool stuff than in any other...though he does look weirdly portly.
Wonder if the actor had to wear some sort of suit?

I wouldn't say to Gina Carano. Regarding the film - it was good but doesn't do anything new. That said if they were to bring out a sequel I would go watch it.

Yes, it's f**king brilliant.

Will spoiler for those who want to know...

He reenacts the post-credits scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where he's in his dressing gown, saying "you're still here?" etc

Yep the humour was spot-on,

Mild spoilers

The banter with the blind flatmate was brilliant and the sex scene which lasted a whole year was inspired, I literally spat out my popcorn at "it's national women's day" rofl

Saw it last night, PMSL at the fight scene on the bridge with Colossus.

Loved the Captain Deadpool theme tune.

The whole film was great, will need to see it again as i was laughing over some of the other jokes.

Looking forward to the second one.

Just back from watching Deadpool.... And I really, really enjoyed it. I think I liked it as much as Guardians of the Galaxy - both had that satisfying trait of massively exceeding my expectations.

Mark Kermode made a good point this morning, he couldn't remember the last film before Deadpool that made him laugh consistently from beginning to end with almost nothing falling flat

Judging by the screening I was in that was true for most (including me).

Agree with the general opinion. I laughed out loud along with the rest of the audience. It balanced comedy and superhero action better then I've seen before.

I go out of my way to see Marvel films, including Sony and 20th Century. Deadpool is the first 'Marvel' film where I hadn't read any comics with the main character ('70s and '80 were my day). Therefore I can't say if it's true to the source material. However this is the first time Colossus was spot on.

I hope they make a few more of these, but I don't want the studios to decided all superhero films all have to be 4th wall breaking adult movies. There's room in the market for each 'franchise' to have their own tone, from Dark Knight to Ant-Man.
