Who is the russian looking bird who wallops colossus in the trailers.... she catches my eye!
Angel Dust played by Gina Carano, a bit too butch for my tastes but whatever floats your boat! They do take some liberties with her powerset in the film though, no way she could go toe-to-toe with Colossus, not for that long at any rate.

I don't think we've ever really seen colossus do something of decent length. He's popped into many of the films, mostly teaming up with Wolverine for their signature move but he's never had much more than a bit part really..... what's his screen time like in this?

I'd say he is probably the second main superhero character after Dead Pool so quite a lot actually. Still a bit too one dimensional in character for my liking but as you say he's had a pretty poor showing till now and we get to see him in a proper stand up fight in this one so I'll let that pass for now. If he is in the next one however I'd expect a bit more character development.I don't think we've ever really seen colossus do something of decent length. I wouldn't say to Gina Carano. Regarding the film - it was good but doesn't do anything new. That said if they were to bring out a sequel I would go watch it. Did anyone stay till the end credits?
Yes, it's f**king brilliant. Will spoiler for those who want to know...
He reenacts the post-credits scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where he's in his dressing gown, saying "you're still here?" etc
However, fantastic film!
Agree with the general opinion. I laughed out loud along with the rest of the audience. It balanced comedy and superhero action better then I've seen before.
I go out of my way to see Marvel films, including Sony and 20th Century. Deadpool is the first 'Marvel' film where I hadn't read any comics with the main character ('70s and '80 were my day). Therefore I can't say if it's true to the source material. However this is the first time Colossus was spot on.
I hope they make a few more of these, but I don't want the studios to decided all superhero films all have to be 4th wall breaking adult movies. There's room in the market for each 'franchise' to have their own tone, from Dark Knight to Ant-Man.
