Interview with the film editor, about how to make it flow, and not go too far.

http://www.theverge.com/2016/2/13/10981366/deadpoo...

Saw the film this afternoon, and it was really good, and not for kids. I want to go and see it again, I think it's one of those with things I might have missed seeing it once. I hope the DVD/Blu-ray/digital release has an 18 version, with more everything.

Id rate it as good as ant man, cant quite put my finger on it but not as good as it should have been.

Id rat karl urbans dredd above it. However lets hope its a success and wolverine becomes a 15/18. I know theres a bloody version of the last wolvverine but we need to see him slice and dice people properly.

Anyway the boat at the end? Is it meant to be one of the crashed ships from winter soldier?

Absolutely loved it - one of the funniest films I've ever seen.

Out of interest did you have to lie to anyone to take a 9 year old in or didn't they care?

It's definitely a SHIELD Helicarier. I figured they were having a cheeky reference to the way the Marvel properties are shared out between studios. Marvel studios can't mention Mutants, and presumably Fox can't use anything Avengers related. The Helicarier definitely falls into the latter category.

Great film, really liked the way they paid attention to the little details, those bits where you sit and think "well why wouldn't he have just..oh wait, there it is". Missus loved it too so a winner all round. Lots of parts I wouldn't fancy explaining to a 9 year old mind.

Enjoyed it, but slightly over hyped by the fan boy types.

I suppose they couldn't make the helicarriers too similar. I thought it was some sort of tanker.

I don't mind it being mentioned because Deadpool can get away with it, like taling about Jackman, and Stewart and the other fella both being the Prof.

$47.5 million first day. That is the highest earning on day 1 for any R rated film, any X-Men film and top 10 for any comic book film. It's a Presidents Day long weekend in US of A, so its expected to pass $100m for the weekend, putting it in the top 10 opening weekend for any superhero movie. The film budget was $58m.

clap

Great figures but I'm guessing it will drop off quite a bit during next week. However the blu-Ray and DVD sales will be through the roof.

Hopefully I'll be able to get in this afternoon. smilesmile

Went yesterday with the wife and Daughter and got to say I loved it. AS did the wife and Jessi, Not laughed so hard for a long time and thought it made a good change from the normal Marvel X men movies.

Really enjoyed it

Nah, that would have ruined the narrative and both characters, that had been set up in the previous two hours.

Absolutely loved it! Super sharp script, so wrong so many times, and for the small budget they put out a movie that looked very expensive.

And LOVED the post credit scene laughlaugh
