I'm also thinking this. However as a trio of presenters, they have a very large fan base. Also Amazon have been smart and signed Wilman too and new old TG was the brainchild of Wilman and Clarkson, so I think the program will be good, but I'm not sure it will be £80pa good.

Breaking Bad managed to make the move to subscription online TV, so lets hope CHM can make the move

I personally think they would have much better on Netflix.

Would have prefered netflix as thats what I currently subscribe to and enjoy quite a bit. Great content on there, especially documentaries.

Never been interested in Prime, don't buy much from amazon and their selection of content seemed inferior. However, I'd probably be quite willing to pay the £79 for a year just to see what this new TG brings.

Watching it on TV might be another matter. Not sure Prime works via Google Chromecast. You'll have to get an Amazon Fire Stick or whatever or, as I'd probably do, watch it in Chrome browser on a laptop and simply cast the chrome tab to the chromecast. Works perfectly well for lots of things I've found.

Well it's a bit like ordering a Big Mac. Populist & you know exactly what you're going to get, but exciting & new it ain't.

It's possible it would be ppv but if their other self-made content is anything to go by (like Vikings) I think it'll probably be free.

Chromecast, Firestick, Xbox, PS4, stick PC, they will all strem it to your TV.

Prime is pretty reasonable really, particularly as it existed for one day delivery but now has a load of other stuff thrown in.

- Unlimited One Day Delivery (we have an Amazon Locker at work so this alone is worth it for me)
- Prime Music
- Cloud Drive (unlimited photo storage)
- Kindle Owners Lending Library (half a million books for free)
- Instant Video

The way I see it is.

£80 a year
£35 for the firestick for a lot of tv's (we have a smart tv so not needed)

In reality I only ever use Amazon to buy things around xmas and see no need to need next day delivery (so it being free with prime is irrelevant)

Most music I want I either already have or I can find it for free on the internet anyway

The majority of the free box sets/ movies are 3-4+years old so ive either seen them already or can see seen them as re-runs on tv

£115 in the first year to find out that you don't think the new show is worth paying for seems like madness. Then add on whatever you then spend on tv shows/movies plus the odd 'well we get free delivery so il just buy this' and its starts getting a bit ridiculous

I buy quite a lot of things from Amazon as it is generally cheaper than other places and the next day delivery is great. The video service I don't use very much as it doesn't really have anything new or that I want to watch.

I'm surprised they can afford the top gear lot but I'm looking forward to watching it!

I wonder if Amazon will put this under their paid for content or whether it'll be free. I suspect I know the answer (additional cost per season) but we'll have to wait and see.

Prime is worth it for the next day delivery alone in my opinion.
