We have the advantage of having read WWZ and watched 5 Series of the Walking Dead though!
To be fair yes. Whilst I agree my first instinct wouldn't be to drive to the desert I think I'd be a tad more on edge.

Like informing my neighbour rather than watch her being eaten.

It is incredibly quick and easy to torrent if you've got something to watch it on, you don't need to miss the show.

Although on account of your username I'd like to specify for the record that piracy is wrong and something I have never partaken in...
I may in the past have been known to have a blind spot when it comes to televisual intellectual property rights infringement wink

Yeah, I know it's not difficult - or at least it wasn't when I last torrented stuff many years ago. I'm sure it hasn't changed much, but I really just can't be arsed having to fire up the antiquated laptop every time I want to download something. A monumentally First World Problem, I realise....

Personally I'm a bit underwhelmed with it so far. I find really farcical stuff incredibly annoying and I fear they're going to rely on that to keep the pace down - for example -

Travis is driving his truck terrified his son is in danger so he's calling his ex-wife to make sure he doesn't leave the house, I forget the exact dialog

"Keep him there, it's important"
"You can't do this isn't not your weekend"
"keep him there, it's important"
"you always do this, you don't have the right"
"Keep him there, it's important"

So supposedly in fear for his Son and desperately driving across town to make sure he's safe, he doesn't actually bother to explain himself until he arrives no "keep him there, there this virus which turns people into flesh eating maniacs" "what Zombies?" "Sorry, I've never heard of that term before".

I'll stick with it, after all I managed to push through the first part of series 2 of the Walking Dead, but it's not great so far.

Why was I under the impression that it wasn't on again until next week?

The Walking Dead wasn't much better (from memory it was worse), but the stupidity of the character is mildly irritating. As per your spoiler, the mum at the end of the second episode trying to stop her daughter from going out to help a neighbour. No "this is why you shouldn't go out", just a "No, you can't go out there".

After watching the most recent episode...

It's perhaps going to take a slightly different direction initially than I was expecting with the introduction of the military response, this is good I want to see the military facing off against hordes of Zombies. We'll still end up normal TWD but perhaps some twists and turns along the way, maybe it gets contained initially.

However how stupid can you be, I think they've all now witnessed reanimated corpses biting/killing people? Yet they're still trying to help there sick neighbours? These fools won't last long in Zombieland.

episode 3 comments

Watched episode 3 and I felt like putting my samba through the tele.

Armageddon comes, horrific horrendous scenes, but its Monday so I’ll still put the bins out.
I’ve just killed my neighbour, quick get the dishes done.
There is zombies about, my son is coming off smack, let’s play monopoly.
I have broken my foot, the army medics show up, let’s stay in the bedroom.
My neighbours husband comes back, driving through state after state but see’s nothing wrong, hears nothing on the radio and has no clue of these zombies, I must hug my wife. I cannot furiously beep the horn to attract his attention warning him before he goes in.
I’ve just made it through a riot, people looting a gents barbers, but I’ll leave all my supplies in the back of an open pick up.

Its fking awful but why cant I stop watching it. The thing is all this filling out of an episode was bearable when I watched 5 seasons in a couple of weeks but now it’s once a week it’s ridiculous.

I couldn't be arsed to list all the gaffs in the episode but You you minded me off the bin thing that was fricking ridiculous!! Had me laughing anyhow. I'll watch it coz it's Zombies, Z Nation should watch out as they may not the ridiculous approach to the Zombie market to themselves anymore, the difference being you know not to take that show seriously.

Ep.3 was tough to watch.. I'll give anything a chance, but more than a few times last night I found myself just shaking my head at the characters actions..

It's also a bit troubling that we're 3 episodes (nearly 3 hours) in, and I feel no connection to any of them at all. The dad who you'd expect to be the brave heroic type is lifeless, the wife is naive, the daughter the same, the junkie son literally just a junkie son.. The ex-wife bhy but boring, the younger son's a bit of a dick..

Is there foresight of how long this series is supposed to last? I mean has it been written extensively ahead like TWD? Cause at this rate I can't see it lasting..

I like the Spanish dad, intrigued to know his story after E3. He knows Travis and co are weak.

Couldn't really get into episode 3 at all, just felt like I'd seen it all before and there was no tension. Only really memorable part was some excellent makeup work towards the end.

The script must be 10 pages long. Zombies about. Go about your normal business devoid of any sane actions like being glued to the Internet, TV or radio.

Surely to God air raid sirens would be rung or something when the government realise we need to keep people inside.

I liked how he got to his completely unharmed pick up in the middle of rioting.
Also the rioters just stood there rattling a fence over and over. The extras were just white.

They watched the neighbour eating his family but keep shining torches out the window. They spot him outside but leave the back door open. They watch him enter the house, see the husband coming home but head back through the maze instead of running out the front door.
It's rubbish, can't wait for the next instalment smile

I watched 28 days later last night, and fk me, if the zombies shifted like this maybe the series wouldn't drag. That said, all would probably have died long ago.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking a zombie apocalypse would be relatively cool, no responsibility, do what you want etc but fk it with these ones.
