Just finished this on Amazon Prime. It was OK I guess, will watch season 2, I guess that will hit Amazon Prime next year some time?
The thing that really annoys me as others have said is the utter stupidity of the characters. Still letting their petty arguments/struggles get in the way of any information transfer. Splitting up (safety/death), trying to go on with normal life when it's clear the whole world is going to hell in a hand-cart.
As has been said, I think I'd deal with such a situation much better and could write a better story for this "universe". Maybe a good slant (if that's what the writers/owners want) would be to try and see how we would cope in the UK with such an out-break and no easy access to fire-arms. It would be a very different struggle to what they face in the US.

Okay, I've caught up episodes 3-5 ready for the finale and I'm very conflicted.

Loved the first two episodes, they got so much right but then the "9 days later" really pissed me off, firstly because it feels like a cop-put and secondly because where did 30million LA residents/LA zombies go?

You're telling me the cities deserted except for a few random walkers? After 9 days? Bullst. Where is everyone? The lack of zombies on the whole has been disappointing, I feel like we've skipped over the fall of society which what the show was supposed to be about.

On the flip side, I like the characters, (most of them) and I'm still holding out hope they are building towards a dramatic finale having clearly skimped the budget on the episodes 4 & 5!

Bring on the walkers!!
Just watched both seasons and that seems to be the largest problem with the show.

It starts promisingly and we have a slow build from the start of the outbreak. Then suddenly the vast majority of the residents just vanish and they are in a dull gated community. Then season 2 just becomes a low rent version of TWD but with one large problem that we DONT CARE about most of the characters.

Think about it who of the characters in this spin off do you actually care about?. The two girls are hot and Nick grows on you as a character in season 2. Daniel Salazar is interesting in season 1 and Victor Strand is in season 2, but who else?

These are people who take out a military command post, including a hospital, to rescue three of their party, two of whom left voluntarily!. Who spend most of their time with perma scowls having a "family drama" in the middle of an apocalypse.

Bad writing, but the show is successful regardless because of the genre.

Anyone still watching this (or saw the last season)?

I just finished Season 3 and it was pretty good I thought, yes Madison is still thoroughly annoying and I don't get why so many people listen to her or how she managed to become a leader in the new group, but hey- it's set in the Walking Dead Universe. It's definitely an improvement over Season 1 & 2, and in fact could be set up to be better than the current season of the Walking Dead.
