There's an older thread on this show here, and the general consensus (mine as well) is that the first three or four episodes are quite funny, but then it nosedives drastically from that point onwards. The story takes a different turn and not for the best. Look the thread up but there are spoilers in there.

I know there are older threads. I don't wanna read spoilers, hence the title and the way the OP was worded.

I had a suspicion it'd go that way, there's only so long they keep up with the humour of the situation and so it's bound to change its tune.

Tried to watch so many series on Netflix only to have this happen which is why I tend not to bother these days and just stick to films rather than series.

Still, I'll persist and see what happens.....

I liked the feel, seems balanced at the moment. Comparing it with the Brink it seems a similar deal, but a great deal harder with the set-up.

Remember the sitcom, Not With A Bang?

Promised a lot, left wanting.

Got halfway through the first episode and lost interest.

I'm still enjoying it. The lead is getting close to (though not there yet) be utterly despicable, but yet believable.

I'd actually stopped watching though I still have all the episodes. Watched the first S2 episode yesterday and it was pretty good. I might have to catch up on the rest of S1.

That was not bad was it? I gave up half way through series 1 as to be honest the main character was getting on my nerves and coming across as creepy. I might start watching again.

Yeah, that was the fine line, but I reckon he came good at the end when the dynamics changed.
And now there is some sort of plot/story.

Forgot that this was coming back for a 2nd series - I really enjoyed the first one. The utter cringeworthiness of Phil makes the show IMHO.
