I'm 4 episodes in and enjoying it but does it move on from villain of the week?
I know there is the general, go back to hell arc but I can see it getting old quickly.

One in the eye for Amenadiel. And now he's spared the cop Malcolm who could be innocent and the victim of a dirty cop. In other news Chloe does not seem to be immune to Amenadiel.

This is a decent enough bit of light comedic drama.

Could do with more nudity though, expected more from one of the writers of Californication. But I think it's maybe a network show so they're probably not allowed.

I wasn't sure about his Frankie Howerd mannerisms to begin with but the series has turned out quite nicely. Intrigued about the new character.

There is a bit of a dip in the middle of the series but generally good fun.

Looking forward to the next series to see how they get over the last word of that season. thumbup

Enjoyed it overall, it did get a bit villain of the week for a while but redeemed itself with the last couple.

Will watch a second series.

Series 2 casting, I'll spoiler it just incase anybody hasn't finished series 1 yet

Lucifer's mum has been cast and its Tricia Helfer smilehttp://io9.gizmodo.com/tricia-helfer-is-going-to-b...

So...

is this actually worth re-watching following the hero-of-the-week mentality that it initially was?

Worth it just for the few scenes involving Maze IMO.

I started watching it and liked the first few episodes but then as others stated it a villain of the week so I left it at about episode 8 or 9. Not sure if it's worth persevering with it, the overall premise and characters are pretty interesting but it became very formulaic.
