Ainsley Harriot is 58?? eek

Edit: Is his partner a bit rubbish or is he making her look rubbish? She seemed really stilted.

He looks good on it for sure! I'm amazed it's taken so long for him to appear on the show, he's so camp it couldn't be a more natural choice. Shame he can't dance though.

Think I'll find Ainsley really annoying, although in fairness he was better than I expected. Very stiff shoulders and a bit stompy though.

Georgia is cute and was half decent if a bit sloppy. She has potential.

Claudia is genuinely witty but is a little hamstrung by the strictures of the BBC PC Brigade. I like her.

Tess is a little old school and probably more used to hanging off a guy's arm. She does her best though. Could probably be better.

Really? They're better than the cringefest that was Brucie.

Also, why are you even on this thread if you don't watch the programme? confused

Edit: Sorry that came across rather confrontational. I should clarify that it was a genuine question.

Indeed, it was horrible watching Brucie, especially in the last few years. I find the two ladies infinitely more enjoyable and easy to watch.

Yes, I should probably point out that I have only been watching Strictly for 3 or 4 years, so I only saw Brucie at his worst on the show. It was a car crash.

Most years there have been 1 or 2 really obvious stand-out stars in the first week but I'm not seeing any this year. Probably a good thing as it makes it closer and will be good to see how they develop.

I have high hopes for Peter Andre. He seems like a genuinely nice bloke and I really want him to do well. And Janette is lovely too.

Edit: And that was brilliant.

He was good, needs to be a bit lighter on his feet but has serious potential. He'll do great anyway since the people that actually vote on this are the middle aged women that love him. He could just sit still and make it to the last 5.

Not just middle aged women. paperbag

There was so much performance and attitude in that dance though. Loved it.
