I thought Jamelia had lost her footing and fallen like a sack of spuds, but then it turned out to be part of the routine.

My suspicions were first aroused by her being referred to as Karen Clifton for the past 3 weeks. winktongue out

Aliona cloud9

Best routine of the night for me!
The standard has been very high tonight. But, yes, it was superb. yes

I loved Georgia's Bond-inspired dance too. And Kevin and Kellie's Star Wars Charlston. But I agree that Jay and Aliona were on another level.

She looked bloody lovely in that dress. Could have danced it a bit better (not enough sultry, sexy hip rolling) but it was good.

I really enjoyed Anitas dance too.

And Jay was awesome, so fast and accurate and frankly he looked fking cool doing it. Pleased for him as he seems a decent chap.

Dissappointed in Peter, not quite strong enough and his costume was far too over-the-top and hid alot of his movement and his arms. Kirtsys costume was poor too, just made her looked even worse.

Helen was nice to watch too, very classy and smooth dance.

I agree that some of the themed night costumes are ott and distract attention from the dance. Next will be the Halloween ones.

Jay and Aliona were brilliant.

Len's a bit of a knob at times. Why complain about too much acting when you have a bloody movie themed night? If you're going to encourage themes you can't criticise couples for following those themes.

Jay was head, shoulders knees and ankles above everyone else tonight, genuinely pleased for him. Good routines from the Eastender and the Midwife too, plus the Countryfile girl who was marked very harshly. Jamelia can go though, she offers little and her constant giggling is getting on my nerves now.

Jeremy and Ainsley are good fun, Carol's like your mum dancing and Kirsty simply can't dance. The Corrie girl will suffer if Geovanni thinks he can get away with disagreeing with the Judges, Katie looked thoroughly gorgeous. Peter looked stompy, and his costume did him no favours, likewise the boxer with his tune. The Irish crooner continues to look like he's as flexible as a broom handle.

Yup. Look what happened to blondie bloke last series. yes

I get the impression that Len could be a thoroughly unpleasant person if he takes a dislike to you, and would be someone who would hold a grudge.

It has been said that Len can be a right nasty piece of work off camera!

There's a standout dance in every series, last year it was Pixie's paso, this year that jive will take some beating; perfect combination of theme and technique and all the planets aligned.
I'd say last year's standout dance was Simon and Yvetta(?)'s Argentine tango that finished with her being flipped upside down. That ending drew genuine gasps from everyone.

Len is a st off of camera. Not a nice person at all. I know from a couple of different people in different circumstances. One went to a dance class he was running and another works back stage at Strictly. Both say exactly the same thing

You can see a bit of it in his reactions to Bruno at times and also if you spot him in the background of the dances when the camera isn't on him.

Craig is the opposite, apparently spends a lot of time with the celebs off camera working with them to improve their dances especially at rehearsals.

I've always trusted my Dad when it comes to assessing people's character and he has always really liked Craig even though he comes across as bit of a git in his comments sometimes. Though generally Craig only ever provides constructive criticism and honesty.

Indeed. I've always maintained that Craig is, on the whole, quite constructive despite hamming up the pantomime villain sometimes. But you can clearly see that it's pantomime.
