the standard this week was excelellent i really like jay and anita and i really likes jeremys' charleston he needs to improve when he's out of hold but getting better.

i thought carol was a bit harshly treated and kirsty still looked a bit nervy to me...

i lurved alionas look with the black wig...grrrr

That sounds like quite a handful. I think I would have my hands full (even overflowing ?) with just Georgia....

Well, I think the judges made the right decision there.

Anthony had defeat and resignation all over his face and body in the dance off, and Ainsley turned in another entertaining performance.

I think he is struggling with that shoulder, he was definitely dropping that arm.

Delighted with that result, exactly as I'd forecast.

Every one of his dances were designed to take it easy on his injury. You could see it each dance. I think everyone made allowances for it, but he was still wanting.

Yes you could see that but an injury like that will still impinge on performance. It was the right decision and he was not a natural dancer but I do think his injury likely impacted on his whole demeanour.

With an injury that obvious what on earth was the point in entering the competition - even if you didn't know he had a shoulder injury you would have been asking why he continually held his arm funny. A shame though, because I found him to be a likable chap.

Both really upped their game in the dance off though and were markedly better than yesterday. Glad Ainslie went through but would rather have seen either Jamelia or Carol weatherwoman out instead. Or Daniel O'Dreary, he really does have the personality of a table.

Good result, though I'm quite sad to see Oti go as she was lovely to watch. Ridiculous that Anthony was even trying to compete with that injury and the paso just highlighted it even more.

Daniel, Carol or maybe jamwlia to go next as I don't find any of them terribly watchable.

Ainsley isn't great either but he definitely gives it everything.

Right result. Ainsley does give whatever dance a good go.

Dammit Oti out frown

Bit surprised at the result; Ainsley, Carol, Daniel and Kirsty were all weaker, imo.
Yes, Oti was lovely. Hopefully we'll see her back next year.

I don't agree that Ainsley was weaker - he does bring a lot of personality, interpretation, and downright entertaining fun to his dances. Having said that, I realise that you are a far more technical judge than me so you're probably making that comment on technical merit which is fair enough.

consistent with other years there seems to be a split emerging between those that can dance and those that are struggling with maybe one or two in the middle like Kirsty and katie (who I thought was a bit harshly treated) who has potential but is still struggling a bit.

the next four should be in no particular order ;-)

Ainsley, Jeremy (although i thought his Charlie was great!), Carole (sadly) and the oirish fella...

after that I expect another one or two to be obvious.

Janettes' dress and choreagraphy for that Paso were sensational...

Just been catching up on ITT and I thought Geovanni's comments on Len-gate were perfect, well done to the lad for taking it on the chin.
For those of us who only watch the weekend shows, could you give us a précis / summary please?

He apologised sincerely and said the judges' comments are very important to him and he's taken it on board. Can't ask for more than that really.

Just watching It Takes Two. I seldom have time but it was on and I wanted to watch something whilst eating my dinner.

Jamelia has the most irritating giggle since Elaine Paige. It's not cute, it's like nails down a blackboard.

Strong words from Len though.
Very! He was seriously narked wasn't he!
If you watch Bruno's reaction Giovanni was still shaking the head towards Bruno when the another judge was talking and Bruno looked a bit miffed. Len would have seen this and I think rightly so pulled him back in to line as he has to take a fair part of the criticism too as he sets the theme and provides the stage so to speak for Georgia to dance on.

Best routine of the night for me!
Yep, I can't believe how tight the syncronisation was between the two of them so early. Jay's leg action, feet and hips were just spot on. Has he had dance training before, if not to get to that level so quickly is amazing. It would be the best dance in recent memory for me, especially so early in the season.

Turns out that Jay has had quite a lot of background dance training. Bit disappointed to learn that but suspected he must have had training at some point!
