Daniel O'Donnell really does have a vacant personality-free vapid look on his face most of the time doesn't he.
He is Eoin McLove.

Funny you should say that, but I had no experience of Daniel until this year's Strictly. However, I am a fan of Father Ted. It scared me somewhat that what I had thought had been an outrageous OTT satire turned out to be bang on.

I'm predicting we'll not see unanimous agreement from the judges tonight. Neither couple is the obvious to go through.

Edit: however the judges will not like those stilted pauses from Kirsty

Edit2: Oh well, shows how much I know. LOL. getmecoat

At least it was clearly the right decision (by a mile). Some good ones left in there now, though Georgia is still the best.

He's clearly liked by many though. Lots of hugs and kisses from the other contestants.

That's the thing though. For me it wasn't "by a mile". Not because I like Captain Nice, but because I don't think Kirsty is a very good dancer either. I honestly didn't know which way the judges would go on that, hence my prediction and hence my surprise that it was unanimous.

Agree, Kirsty did much better on her second attempt. Doesn't look like she's enjoying it much though.
I don't think Brendon is one of the most chilled dancers to be paired with.

Daniels dance partner (Christine isn't it?) seemed genuine in her words

Paso doble to U2, quick step to The Who? Ridiculous, apparently the producers choose this. It's hard enough to do the dance but especially to music that doesn't fit the dance.
Yep, I'd go along with that. I think a lot of the music choices have been poor this series - I mean, how on earth are you supposed to dance to the Rocky theme - and also the delivery by the band a bit flat. The vibrancy of the musicians and singers isn't to the same standard as the previous series for me.

Initially I thought it was a different band. Definately don't come over as good as previous series. That U2 number must have been really hard work for Brendon and Kirsty's pasa doble. The other couple that did the pasa doble the music was spot on.

Is anyone else getting fed up with Bruno's new persona and the cutting, sometimes unnecessarily cruel comments?

At least Craig tries to be constructive whereas Bruno appears to be going for the new Pantomime Villain tag and I am really starting to dislike the jumped up, self important little arse.

I also worry for Aliona's marriage when you see quite how touchy-feely she is being with Jay! The lingering face stroke and a kiss on Saturday that went on for a bit too long.

I think she can also smell success with him in terms of this year's competition so must be chuffed to bits.

I think they will lose the public vote somewhat if they continue this way, especially when it becomes common knowledge that Jay has had a fair bit of dance training.

I think Carol or Kirsty need to go next - shame as I really enjoyed Kirsty's outfit on Saturday biggrin

It is so nice to see Anton finally getting to do some proper dancing - I hope they last for a while longer yet.

Enjoying Georgia, Kellie, Peter, Anita, quite a high standard this year.

I would like Carol to have a bit more time but she won't get it. She has improved. This is where the gap between the novices and the pre trained start showing through.

Peter Andre is doing well. Whilst he is obviously used to choreography, I suspect he hasn't had a great deal of dance school training compared to a few on the show.

You're not alone. Midway through one of his rants SWMBO shouted at the telly: 'oh shut up you twerp, you're really getting on my nerves'. I thought she was talking to me at first, but she confirmed her ire was directed at Bruno.

I agree. Craig has almost always been constructive in his criticism, even if the audience do boo him like some kind of Pantomime Villain.

Apparently Anita and Gleb are going to be dancing to Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap ( alternative video) on Saturday.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's a song I love so much and is very special to me. On the other hand, the in-house band are probably going to absolutely murder it.

Edit: Mind you, cover versions do exist. Provided you like Ellie Goulding. Jury is out for me.

Anyone else watching live?

Bruno seems to be gunning for the villain role, to the extent that Craig just told him he was horrid. smile

Edit: Then awards a score 1 point less than Bruno. hehe

As I feared, the house band absolutely murdered "Sweet Disposition".

The Bruno Craig moment, not your song being slaughtered Jon!
