How on earth does the public vote Georgia into the dance off ? - it must make people wonder if the voting is totally above board. Crazy.

Isn't it the converse? They don't vote in sufficient numbers to keep her out?

It's the public not voting for them that puts them in the dance off, people often assume they are safe plus we don't know how close a call the votes may be.

Indeed. The only way you can vote someone into the dance off is to vote for every contestant apart from them.

Nuts wobble

Anita was crap (again), Kellie does the same dance every week, Katie was led around the floor, Georgia was fantastic, Jay did an ok rumba (not easy I grant you) and Helen had a slight wobble but there was a million times more dance content compared to Anita. And did you know Anita hasn't danced before? It shows.

Strictly is lost to the common people, it all started with that fatty a couple of seasons back biggrin
I thought you'd flounced out of this thread several weeks ago vowing not to return, and that you weren't watching it any more? smile

I thought the standard was high again.

knowing how difficult it is to dance the rumba Jay did very well indeed.

I would have through Anita and Katie would have been in the dance off - not that they are poor but just not as good as the others.

felt a bit for Helen as her viennese last week was in the top 5 dances of the series so far, she looks a bit uncomfortable out of hold at times and the Paso exposed her a bit.

ALL the dances are difficult to do well, and so it should be. I reckon given that it is as much a popularity contest as a dance contest it will be Jay and Georgia plus take your pick, any of the other could make it and the dance on the night could swing it.

I think Kellie from the rest for me.

Again, there was no mention of Helen's glaring error.

We noticed that she was dragged around in a spin near the beginning. I actually said "WTF" when it happened, but put it down to choreography. In the dance-off she danced the rotation around Alyaz (sp?).

53:23 to 53:27 on here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06s1tvp/stri...

and 31:00 to 31:04 on here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06s1x59/stri...

If she hadn't been so protected, she would still be in the show.

When will the judges learn that the public HATE injustice. When CRH slated Anita I told Mrs Pingu that Anita was going to be saved by the public. I reckon that she is top of the public vote.

Lion King was superb as was Josh Groban.

I didn't notice the dragging but it is a Paso so there is more licence for that type of thing in that particular dance...I'll have another look.

Helen came across as a bit of a cold fish though and a bit forced, if you see her expressions sometime in the background with CW she looked sometimes angry when others did well

If I noticed, I'm sure others would.

Mumsnet is over there =>

Makes no difference to her dancing. I prefer people who aren't gurning for the cameras all the time.

Just watched it. Anita should have gone last week, I really think Helen could have made it to the final and pipped Kellie out.

Anyway, I think Katie is fortunate to have a Charleston this week as it is a fun dance and will suit her, so that might get her through in front of Anita.

Absolutely loved Anton and Katie's Charleston.

OK, they messed up a bit at times. But I liked it.

The judges don't agree though.

Yes I think Anton and Katie did well too. Anita's foxtrot was nice too.

All the dresses are lovely tonight.

Loved Kellie and Kevin's dance. The music, her dress, the choreography, the emotion, it was just lovely. I actually almost burst into tears I really did.

Len might be the judges foreman but the being the last to vote, the power lies with Bruno. Does he change his mind about his paddle as the scores mount up . smile

Fantastic dance from Georgia - but people need to actually vote for her, not just assume that she'll get through.
