Whatever he lacks in dance skills he should be able to make up with stage presence and charisma...

Haha, you're all such saddos! I used to watch this to keep my Nanny company.
And then she died.
Amazing lady, you would have loved her tatey pie. And her hugs & kisses.

But really, is there nothing else on?

Feel free to comment on any one of the 100's or 1000's of other threads on PHs. rolleyes

Maybe go into a football thread and tell people they are sad for watching football?

I'm sorry Jon, I caught a glimpse of this show and then on seeing this thread it all came flooding out like with those madeleines of Proust.
I thought the winking smiley would explain to people that I wasn't seriously being critical.
Enjoy your programme.

Thought Anita from Countryfile looked particularly adept tonight, as did the midwife. The weather woman was dreadful though, looked like your mum dancing at a wedding and too concerned that her husband might object to her dancing with another man.

The Eastenders woman opened the show well but the boxer is too full of himself and only having one arm really showed. The Irish crooner has as much charisma as magnolia wallpaper and will look as uncomfortable as the weather woman when it comes to the quicker dances.

Good opening show though, looking forward to tomorrow night now. They'll have to go some to beat the Eastender and Anita mind you.

Yup, I'd go along with that.

I too don't watch Eastenders so she's just some random actress to me.

The midwife lady was exceptional; I really enjoyed her dance. Anita the Countryfile lady was very good too, but my goodness isn't she thin! It looked like her parter was going to snap her like a twig.

Yup Oti is stunning. She'll be fun to watch.

Unlike Daniel O'Donnel who looked dead behind the eyes. Never seen anyone on the show before who's managed to show so little emotion.

Yes DO'D looks deader than a DOA Dodo. Miss Kirkwood, the girl I wake up to most mornings, will surely be waving bye-bye come next Sunday. Not one step danced well the whole routine.

Not sure I've ever seen anyone on strictly in all those years who has looked as constantly terrified as Jay has. Bizarre for someone who has performed in huge arenas for years.

LOL yes. But he did pretty well and got very positive remarks from the judges.

By contrast, Kirsty G was very stilted and Brendan pretty much posed her like a doll at times. The judges are quite rightly tearing her to shreds right now.

But it is only week one.

I predict that Jeremy Vine is going to be as stiff and inexpressive as Daniel O'Donnel was yesterday.
