I didn't see much of their house but it didn't seem anything special judging by the shot of the street the woman was picked up from..

Just a st attitude really, not even any interest in private schooling which they could probably budget for if they cut down on the £300 handbags..

Loved her comment about how she could die tomorrow and not have spent and enjoyed her money while she was alive. She fails to realise she could die tomorrow, and her kids would probably be left with very little other than iPads and sunglasses, and no knowledge or appreciation of saving, budgeting, future planning....

Rosie the 'ethical shopper' was interesting too. Her hubby's on £100k+bonuses, where's all that money going if she's so reluctant to spend on anything?

Probably the mortgage on their 4 bed terrace in Fulham and private school for the kids.

The biggest surprise of all this is how well Anne Robinson comes across when she isn't doing The Weakest Link.
She shouldn't have had botox or filler done on her top lip though. It looks awful

Billionaire phones guy - what a sad case.
Manc family - just awful examples of human beings
Overpaying mortgage family - STOP BUYING TAT FROM CAR BOOT SALES AND FILLING YOUR HOUSE WITH IT

The Manc family was so annoying.

I laughed when the Manc mother said "that's the mortgage and they ain't getting any more". The irony being if she did overpay they would actually pay less interest.

Manc family - father was clearly whipped to hell. Mother was foul. Daughter came across in the same disgusting way.

Greg haired woman - she's "eco" about everything, yet has a banker husband. Who I'm sure works for the most ethical company around. Hypocritical idiot.

John Caudwell - also featured in the Jon Richardson programme about money. His family were basically intimidated by him. He's clearly a troubled and guilt ridden chap

Overpaying family - nothing much wrong with them, it's just the takeaway thing seems at odds with everything else. But everyone has a vice

Jesus, that mom and daughters talking about handbags and laughing at the other woman for buying a £10.

Arrogant, aspirational, vile people.
Sad. My OH buys £10 bags all the time because by and large, they last just as long as the £100 bags because everythings made by the rock bottom lowest bidder these days. Its all ste. The only difference is if its expensive ste or cheap ste.

The funny thing is, with certain products and especially clothing, you have can have a really good middle ground, random example, take a pair of jeans..

Primark - made in third world for 3p - £10
Decent brand - good quality, long lasting, look good, maybe made in their own country for a couple £ - £100
Some fashion house you've never heard of - made in the third world for 3p - £1000

Made-up figures of course but I'll always lean towards that middle ground. Some people are happy with cheap and cheerful - which is fine, but the people that willingly spend 10x more than necessary for a label just make me laugh.

She's obviously an imbecile, had to laugh at the quote about the mortgage "they aren't getting any more of us"

But they are, masses of it on additional interest.
Yes, that line had me and the wife pissing ourselves too. She seemed to be under the impression that overpaying your mortgage was doing the lender a favour at the expense of the borrower.

Thick or what?

I'm pretty sure they quote gross income not net.
It seemed like they were doing both, depending on which example they were showing.

that seemed more like nett, if for no other reason than £18k gross between two people is extremely low,

They did refer to household income, in those cases, which I would take to mean actual money available after tax.

Of course though, that might take into account tax credits and stuff.
With £10k income tax personal allowance each the difference between gross and net is negligible. Then there are various 'unearned' benefits as well, so difficult to present a consistent number.

Classic from the Mrs "Oh this is that programme that had the lazy arsed husband on last week whilst his wife went to work".

I was tempted to say: If the roles were reversed and it was the husband going out to work leaving the wife at home would you say that about the woman?

However I thought better of it as I wanted a quiet night.
