Dredd
(NOT the Stallone one.)
Massively gory violence-fest.
Excellent.
8/10
Bonus points for not removing the helmet and Avon Barksdale turning up as a drug dealer, surprise!
I liked this too. Karl Urban does a fine turn as Dredd and Judge Andersen was well done, if completely different to the comics.

Lena Headey was fun as the villain of the piece. I always think she's far too good looking, generally, to play these kind of characters but the make up and performance was the sort of silly fun the movie needed.

Blade Runner - Directors or somesuch.

I realise I'm late on this one, but it's not the stunning piece I expected it to be. Barely developed plot. And some interesting visuals does not a classic make! In fact has Ridley Scott actually done more than about 4 films that are any good? Sure they all look good, but come on...

6/10
I think its of of those films where depending on which version you see first you love it or hate it. I watched the originally released version with the Harrison Ford commentary, loved it. Watched the directors cut and nope not for me.
I've decided on the latter laugh

Just watched Office Space again - definitely one of my top five favourite films!
Anyone who works in a corporate office environment will relate to the film.

Yeah, I love Dredd, one of the best comic films.

Ma ma was a prozzie though so being a looker before she was cut would have been important.
Besides which Lena Headly...Drool.

Passengers.
What a brilliant film, loved it, reminiscent of Groundhog Day/Red Dwarf and others. Got me quite involved, for a moment I thought the ending was not going to go the way I hoped, and he would die, thank fk it ended wit them togegther, I couldn't have taken it otherwise.

Shepherds and Butchers.

SHEPHERDS AND BUTCHERS follows a jaded lawyer, John Weber (Steve Coogan), who takes on a seemingly hopeless multiple murder case and uncovers scandalous shortcomings in South Africa's capital punishment system as he mounts a defense for a prison guard traumatized by the executions he took part in.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4627352/

Very moving film.

Netflix has recently added 'Sing Street'. I'd heard good things about it, and wasn't disappointed. An added bonus that it was set in 1985 so I could really relate to it!

A good uplifting film - worth a watch!

Anthropoid About the Czech WW2 plot to assassinate Heydrich. Based on a true story and was really well made, capturing the brutality of the Nazis and a real sense of fear and dread as the plot unfolded.

Recommended - 8/10

Love Tarantino's movies, stayed away from Hateful Eight due to the reviews, until tonight when the missus wanted to watch it.

Pile of ste, dull, boring. Lasted 40 mins, turned over.

This week, I have mostly been watching the Child's Play films, because I'd never seen any of them. Now I have, 1-6 (yes, six. Curse of Chucky was a straight to video in 2013, in case you were wondering).

1. Good.
2. Nearly as good, better ending.
3. Meh, spent the first part of the film trying to think where I'd seen 'Andy' before because he was different to the first two films. Turns out he was Jimmy Olsen in Lois & Clark.
Bride of Chucky. Different to before with the jokes, really liked it.
Seed of Chucky. Mental, OTT, still liked it.
Curse of Chucky. Back to basics good old creepy doll stuff, the funny stuff had gone as far as it could go with Seed.

Lion. Indian boy gets separated from family, gets shipped to Australia and raised there, returns to India to look for old family.

Lets just say that it was my Wife's turn to choose and leave it there...
