Saw the Revenant at the weekend.
I really liked it, and the music was good too.
Great review!I really liked it, and the music was good too.
I thought it was awful....it's got it's own thread but I'll pipe up on here too! I haven't seen a more gratuitously graphic and violent a film, too long (to the stage where it became boring), very little plot, characters were shallow.
Good bits....Bear attack was amazing CGI, great cinematography and Leo's grunting will finally get him his Oscar.

Pandorum. Two guys wake up on a long distance space ship and can't remember anything about how they got there. One of them explores the ship and gradually it all becomes clear.
Didn't expect too much but quite enjoyed this one - 7/10
I enjoyed it. Preferred the start before it got all..... Anyway it's like two films in one. Worth a watch. Didn't expect too much but quite enjoyed this one - 7/10
6.3/10

I watched The Big Short & thought it was really good 8/10 the OH didn't get it but hey ho.
Yes - that's a fair score but not being in finance, I did struggle with some of the detail. It all came clear how we've been cheated when the guy went to the ratings agency ( S&P ?) to find out how the poor value of the bonds was being misrepresented and they said if they didn't score the parcel of worthless mortgage debts with an AA rating then they would lose the work to ( Moody's ?) who probably could be persuaded to give an AA rating to get the work.
B@stards - the lot of them. Who can you trust?

You're perpetuating your own sh...stuff?! Ya bd! I knew I'd seen it somewhere!Clerks
Stayed up to watch it last night as I work my way through the KS back catalogue and it's actually aged very well. There's some college acting in there obviously but nothing that obvious. Indie films seem to date very easily and to be fair it's very "1990's" but I really enjoyed it and KS' script, him an Tarrentino really had the who monologue/dialogue thing going but it's fair to say their careers went in very different directions!
8/10 as a film but 10/10 as an indie
