Enjoyed 'Locke' last night...
Yes I enjoyed that too - excellent concept. Can you imagine the sales pitch to the producers:
"I want to make a film about a good man whose main interest in life
is pouring concrete ... oh, it's a cast of one and it's all shot in his car" .
"I like this kid, where do I sign?"

Simply superb. If you have a fear of dying (who doesn't!?) and like to watch inspiring individuals, you will be absolutely bowled-over by this.
Today, I've changed my outlook as a direct result of this film. Very much worth the money for a number of reasons....
I watched that when it was on BBC a few months ago, you seem to have got more from it than I did.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4188192/

TRON:the original classic. The first part of the double DVD. It was interesting to watch it again after all these years - it still looks fantastic, but the story is weaker than I remembered. I think I remember a picture book; maybe that explained it better. Or maybe I was simply easier to please.

It's an awesome film. And the story (in my opinion) is certainly not weaker than some of the tenuous dross in modern films. I think it has stood the test of time rather well, in fact. It also captured something in geeks that has been hard to reproduce - it's still a film that I have immense affection for.
One of the things I loved about the sequel, Tron: Legacy, is that it is skillfully both a sequel for those of us who know the original Tron, yet also a soft reboot / remake for those who don't know the original. I think that Star Wars: The Force Awakens tried for the same but with less success.
Anyway, just my semi-sober musings

Personally, I don't think looking back now that TRON was a kids film which was how it was always marketed. It was more a teenager thing as back then, video games really were more the preserve of teenagers-10 year olds just didn't hang out in arcades back then which is where you needed to be if you wanted to play them, games consoles being extremely basic and most of us poor kids might have had a sinclair if lucky!
I didn't really get the film until i was a teenager myself, and by then it was a bit old hat.
Talk about ahead of it's time...
Funny period for Disney too.
