Midnight Special

Watched this last night and quite liked it. It's a SciFi/road trip type movie and I quite enjoyed the soundtrack.

7/10

Good call - I really enjoyed it

One of those films that is different and intriguing.

It reminded me of Starman from the 80's (Jeffrey bridges if you haven't seen it, worth watching)

Michael Shannon's turning into one of my must see actors when he's in a smaller indie.

I watched Spy over the weekend. The film with the lardy American bird. Laughed way more than I expected. 7/10

Life of Pi.
Very visual, beautiful images, but an empty experience. I'll watch it again just for the visuals.

Watched Big Hero 6 last night. I was half expecting a cutsey boy makes friends with a robot kind of film, and it turned out to be almost a manga revenge film. Really enjoyed it.

The book's very good but I've resisted watching the film as I can't believe it would have the depth of the book and I'd be disappointed.

Ronin has been on Sky Movies over the past week or so - so I watched that last night for the first time in ages.

"WHAT COLOUR IS THE BOAT HOUSE AT HERE-FUD?" still a bit grating to my ears though.

Begin Again

With Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley. Really, really enjoyed it. A good feel-good film with plenty of funky music sessions in it. Khightley can sing too! Also with Adam Levine playing her tosser of a boyfriend.
If you like your live music, watch this.

I was gonna turn it off, and then there was a that shot of the bloke in the French pool, and I thought wow!
So I kept it on and watched it over my laptop for the visuals.

Indeed, Skipp Who? I don't recognise him from any other film I have ever watched.
