Independence Day.
My word, I didn't expect them to float a turd as big as the first one, but they did. I now these films are made for morons, but the exposition was just over the top, it was way too basic, 'you're in a coma that you've bene in for 77,000 days...just thought I'd remind you,'
There's about ten good minutes of film in it, probably the worst summer blockbuster I've ever watched. Wanted to be godzilla, alien, predator and a tonne of superior products all rolled into one with a He-Man morality tale tagged on it.
I wanted them all to die as soon as they killed the good aliens.

It was as if the film makers rushed it and just used the very first draft script (or initial scribbles of loose ideas written on half of one side of an A4 sheet), without even a hint of honing it. For the money they had, a wasted opportunity.
ETA - Took my wife to watch the new Ab Fab movie last night. It was OK, but not half as funny as I thought it would be - I was starting to doze off half way though..

I laughed out loud at bits where others didn't, I was routing for those telepathic sweet tentacled lovelies.

Oldboy with Josh Brolin, really enjoyed it, quite some story too.
Loved the original so will be watching this one at the weekend and hopefully it compares.Terminator: Genisys... dare I say I quite enjoyed it? Yes it was cheesy, yes the helicopter chase was a appalling, yes there were too many nods at what went before...
Other questions:
Why do non-fleshed robots have teeth?
Why round up all humans, why not just kill them outright?
Why was there a spoken countdown in the time travel complex? Machines wouldn't need it
There were loads of others but those 3 just stuck

Had Friday & Sat night to myself this weekend so settled down for some mindless action:
Batman vs Superman: Big fan of the 3 Bale movies, so didnt expect much, but thought Affleck was good. Bloody hell, that guy is massive!
As for the plot, again ive got used to Nolan's trilogy being set wholly in the real/believable world, so initially jarred having Batman now occupying a world of proper "superheroes". That said, The Dark Knight Returns was a fave graphic novel of mine years ago so it was fun seeing they lifted quite a lot from that, although reversed the overall outcome.
Was annoyed that they shoehorned a big "unbeatable" CGI boss in at the end, as per every other comic book movie in the past 10 years.
Jeremy Irons' Alfred... what a miserable bugger he was!
6/10
13 Hours: The secret soldiers of Bengazi:
The "true" (terms & conditions apply) story of 6 'Merican CIA contractors who disobey their stand-down order and go to help a small US diplomatic outpost in Libya when it all kicks off, fending off wave after wave of locals who run straight at them shooting from the hip, while our hunky bearded heroes cap them and trade wisecracks. Later on the US eventually send backup, which is in the form of 2 or 3 more bearded laidback Special Ops types who get to wear oakley sunglasses and act laidback and nonplussed by everything.
Its directed by Micheal Bay, but actually quite restrained for him.

I like films about the outside, especially hiking stuff carrying all your gear on your back, probably why I like The Way about a father walking the Camino De Santiago following the death of his son

Having walked the Camino I'll have to check out the film!
You certainly live up to your name, I would love to walk the Camino but I would never be able to take off the 5 or so weeks it takes to walk from Saint Pied de Port. I know there are different and shorter routes or you can just do the last 100 kilometres to get your Compostela certificate. But the 780km French route just seems the right one to do.
