Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans

modern B movie brain out fun.

simple as that, was not expecting much more than that, and that's all I got.

the 1st one is markedly better than the 2nd.
I know what you mean the 1981 version is much better than the later film

Watched Super Troopers for the 174th time on Saturday, still the silliest film of all time, and still the funniest imo.

The opening scene and the pranks the patrol guys play on the people they pull over ("Am I saying meow? Do I look like a cat to you boy?") are absolute classics.

I'd give it at least 10/10, even after having seen it so often.

In the space of a weekend this thread has gone seriously downhill.

First we have a bloke insisting he is reviewing Empire Strikes Back and that he didn't like the sandy bits with Jabba.
Followed by another bloke suggesting Michael Caine was in Jaws.

Sort it out!!
Although my suggestion regarding Michael Caines aquatic misfortune was an attempt at sarcasm relating to the empire comments.

Parrot perhaps?

I thought it made a ludicrous "true" story risible.
1/10 tops.
"Hey what we need is some proper London oi oi cockerknee kids"

"With a stutter?"

"You're farkin right we do"

"Send in the first oik"

In comes kid

"Awight mister, howld arttt ya hand me old mans a dustbin"

"You're hired!"
Also not commonly found in a single parent household in 1970s Britain:
-Remote control TV.
-The kids having a stereo with headphones in their bedroom.
-Doubtful they'd be on the phone either....

All above probably commonplace in the US, at that time though....

hehe

Our first remote was in 1984, and it wasn't really a remote as it still connected to the VCR with a long length of wire which we tried to hide under the carpet!

As for stuff being out of time, I think one of the worst has to be the first episode of a new Marvel series, where they time-travelled back to 1975, and a passer-by commented that they look like Darth Vader - two years before Star Wars was released!

Finally got round to watching Deadpool. My enjoyment of it was slightly tempered by the knowledge that my 12 year old had watched it at a mate's house a few weeks before. It's definitely top-end '15', and would probably have been an '18' when I was his age [/old fart mode]. Funny though.

I've got this on my list but have been reluctant to put it on in case it doesn't live up to watching it the first time. I thought it was hilarious.

Maybe I will give it a go...

True. Hawk The Slayer is another low-budget brit gem worth hunting out.Hope they do a remake - so people appreciate the 1st one.

Loved that as a kid, along with The Beastmaster and Krull.

There was a kickstarter for a sequel to Hawk the Slayer. Didn't make it's target.

I think Beastmaster is a good film. I wish they'd show those old fantasy films more.

Didn't they make 3 beastmaster films?
The first was bad but in a good way and I think they realised that by the 2nd and 3rd and started to take the p out of themselves.

Watched Lone Survivor on Saturday night, good film worth a watch, pretty gruesome at times.

Oh ace, I'll watch this in the shed.

THe sequels are arse, but the first one (I recall) is a good film on it's own merits. Not in a hammy way like Hawk, but gritty.

Definitely worth revisiting, especially as the sequel is out later on this year.

They asked for $1 million through Kickstarter to make it, they ended up with 4......
