"The Man who haunted himself" was on Horror (ch 70) the other night, a pretty good film with plenty of Rover P5 action. First time I've noticed that Luigi the housekeeper is one of the brotherhood from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
I didn't notice much beyond the Lamborghini Islero GTS last time I watched it.
I couldn't stop noticing the powder blue Sunbeam Alpine and the red Mini while he was on the first driving-like-a-maniac section at the start of the film. No matter how many cars he swerved in an out of, they were still right behind him.

Happened to catch "The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do The Time Warp Again..." (a re-make of the original) on the telly last night. Wish I hadn't bothered. Starts off reasonably well with a nicely cheesy first number, but then tries too hard and ends up looking like a grunge version of High School Musical. This is hardly surprising considering it is directed by Kenny Ortega. Ultimately it fails, lacking pretty much all the charm of the original. 2.5/10.
Hadn't realised this was out.
It looked like an awful idea from the start. I wonder how they persuaded Riffraff to allow it.

Was it this guy from 'Mind Your Language'?

Sausage Party - 6/10. Good start, mostly a bit 'meh' in the middle, funny ending.

As expected really! It was quite funny in places.
3/10 for me, I thought it was st, my o/h thought it was st, everyone ive spoken to thought the same or as above meh.

The idea is brilliant but within 30 seconds I felt like turning it off, swearing is fine, fk I swear all the time, but this was just added in to make it "funny", every second word was an obscure swear word that had nil effect. It was something a 13 year old might find funny.

Kevork Malikyan was Max in Mind Your Language and was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Just looking at his biography he was in quite a few iconic programmes from the 70's & 80's including Minder, The Saint and the Professionals.

Going Clear - 8/10

As a documentary about a 'religion' that is notoriously difficult to infiltrate I thought this did just about the best job possible in those circumstances. Paul Haggis was the best interviewee of the bunch, mainly because he seemed like the most grounded and reflective of the bunch.

It does, however, mean my already low score for My Scientology Movie has dropped even lower, particularly so as Louis recycles the same ex-members and footage whilst bringing nothing new to the party.

It's possible, but I don't think likely. Richard has guarded his baby religiously for years, and it's still reaps in the crowds on stage.

Dr Strange - just watched it and I'm conflicted. Technically (to me as a layman) the effects and staging are just amazing... that said it seems to miss the 'lightness of touch' that is normal Marvel (that's not to say it's all DC doom 'n' gloom), Nolan's Inception is definitely a reference point!

I think it's one of those films where you admire it but I don't love it (like I did Guardians) - that being said I'm interested in the sequel

The Legend of Tarzan.

Bad CGI - very little looked real.
Badly edited - a couple of really clunky jumps between scenes.
Bad story - it didn't make much sense and for some reason Samuel L Jackson is in it.

1/10 - don't bother.

Yeah, we watched it a few days back.

A bit pointless really.

I'll give it 2/10 because that includes the one I'd give Margot Robbie.

Hard Target 2. Makes the original (JCVD) look like a masterpiece.

Jack Reacher 2. Quite entertaining, however listening to them trying to figure out 'where the financial gain was' was like having teeth pulled. It was feckin' obvious what the bad guys' payoff was frown That aside a pleasant enough way to pass a few hours 65%

Watching The BFG right now and can't get Guy Martin out of my head, they could have saved themselves a fortune in animation and just got him to play the giant.

Money, perhaps?

i watched it on Saturday - didn't think it was that bad. Reeve Carney was superb as RiffRaff, the rest a bit lacklustre.

It's possible, but he has maniacally guarded it for years, and the stage show still sells out.

Agree with all of that, except I have zero interest in seeing a sequel. I enjoyed this one and liked BC as a hero character but the whole alternative universe/parallel dimensions/altering time just bores me after a while (a while = one film in this case). That and the master baddie was a bit ethereal.
