Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

The film that introduced me to breaking the forth wall, an after-credits scene, classic Ferrari's and of course... Mia Sara cloud9

War On Everyone

Saw some of it tonight. I've now walked out of three films at the cinema: Curly Sue, Inland empire and now this.
Do not waste your time or money. It's not funny although it really tries. It's just rubbish.
The only positive is the Monte Carlo they role around in.

Melancholia

A Lars Von Trier "sci-fi" film about the end of the world, but much more about people.

A masterful performance by Kirsten Dunst (really), and utterly mesmerising. Great support from Keifer Sutherland, Charlotte Gainsborough, Alexander Skarsgard, John Hurt and Charlotte Rampling.

9/10

I keep watching 2012 at the moment, as it's on the telly what seems like every couple of days.

Hell or High Water.

Brilliant Western. Well worth a watch, made me want to have a moustache.
Watched it yesterday, really enjoyed it, just kept wondering how it was going to end!

Agreed, that and Natioanl Lampoons are a must watch every year. Was expecting abuse from the collective for peaking too soon though smile

Ride Along 2

Meh, 5.5/10, Ok for a "couple of drinks in the house Saturday night popcorn" film, allowing you to check your phone and miss nothing, but I didn't expect much from it, and it delivered on that front.

Also watched War Dogs, good film reminded me of wolf of wall street in the formula, good fun film though and a great soundtrack.

Jason Bourne.

Much of a muchness if I'm honest. Not awful, just not great either. A film too many. 6.5/10
Also watched this, my other half like the first couple but hated this.

I have to agree. I have no idea if its possible to hack another's computer via a crappy phone, or if you can find someone within minutes. but when they started pulling general arrangement drawings instantly from the other side of the world on some poxy wee flat I was like "fking bullst, It tales me a bding fortnight to get as built drawings from Scottish water".

Doctor Strange

8/10.

I knew nothing about Doctor Strange but they did a very good job explaining his back story and how he came to be. Very entertaining. Plus, Rachel McAdams is still gorgeous!

Another marvellous film from marvel.

I went to see A Streef Cat Named Bob last night with a friend and I cried all the way through. Great film for some feel good, and after a heavy weekend. Proper Sunday movie.

My other friend stayed home to mend his motorbike. When I explained the film wasn't about cars but a true story about a cat and a recovering homeless drug addict and that's why I was crying I got this message back...

Brilliant film if you have a heart, love cats, can find time to down tools.

He doesn't like cats.

The whole concept of a street cat named bob sounds very dull. Can't be bothered lol

the 1st Taxi film.

decent enough.

the subtitles quoting the speed in mph when you and speak and read just enough French know they said a different number (the speed in kph) was a bit annoying.

It´s a true story about a London street performer, his battle with addiction and his feline-related recovery. Mrs GenX loves the book so I´m sure this will be a hit with her.

Sausage Party

Some genuine laugh out loud moments but not as funny as it thinks it is. Plus, when every other word is an expletive it somewhat diminishes the impact.

7/10.

Bridget Jones's Baby

Mediocre film. Lacks the sharpness and wit of the original. Essentially if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the film. Cynical attempt to cash in on the US market. Shame. (I say this quite lamentably as I'm a big Bridget Jones fan).

5/10.

yes i agree - I found the first two a pretty good laugh, but I didn't even smile at this. Couldn't wait for it to end.
