An IMDB rating of 8.6 with 978288 votes suggests your opinion is in the minority smile

Interstellar.

Utter pants.

That is all, thank you ....
Pants, that's being kind I feel.

It's like going to a mental ward, injecting the 20 worst patients with LSD then trying to have a conversation with them. For 2 hours.
Are these comments jokes? Interstellar is one of the best films in recent history.
Interstellar is pretentious bks.
Interstellar is a grower. I disliked it to begin with but the haunting soundtrack brought me back to it and it's a cracking film. Its not a schmaltzy, has good suspense/peril, tries to tackle something hard (mutli-dimensional beings/entities/concepts).

On first watch it's not amazing but over time has vastly improved and I also think it's one off Chris Nolan's good works (not that he seems to do crap films, ever)

So is Inception.

Indeed, silly me, I forgot, this is 2016.

You can say what you want and despite demonstrated evidence to the contrary in resources where you'd look for reliable, broadly surveyed and rounded opinion and background you STILL believe your opinion is fact smile

It's for cinema goers with brains.
Sure it has plot holes and if delve deep into it.
But at least it's a film that requires a deep delve.
I think it's fantastic.
Just gets better with each watch.

an 8.6 after nearly a million votes...

It's not opinion it's fact hehe

Rogue One. By far the best of the Star Wars follow up films. After a slightly busy start it is coherent, thrilling, heroic, and sad. It does a great job of the human side of even the previously faceless Empire. Half a point off for sound in space. 9.5/10

Lord Vader looked a foot shorter than he appeared to me when I was a young boy. For a moment I thought it was Rick Moranis reprising his famous role. wink
I must admit I thought that Vader looked smaller - though looking at that he was actually taller... weird

Prowse probably was a genuine 6'7 back in the day.

I reckon this new fella is 6'6.

I thought he looked very short. The jarring scene was with Ben Mendelson:

...who stands at a reported 5'11".

Epic film, epic score.

A tonic compared to what passes for cinema in the main.

An overhyped flawed wannabe-masterpiece.

plotholes and contrivances abound to spoil what could be an otherwise epic.

Well I'm going to jump on the band wagon and gush about Rogue 1; I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but blimey Charlie that was really good fun! I think K2 might be my favourite all time character from a fantasy film.

Slow paced, but grim and brutal western, has some good dialogue. 6/10
Quite enjoyed this film. Very dark.
caught up with this on Netflix last night. Love a western. There are some horrid ways to die aren't there.

Anthropoid

Based on true events, WW2 story of the assassination attempt of Heydrich in Prague.

Very gritty and quite harsh, don't think it will be for everyone unless you like WW2 stuff, Cillian Murphy stars.

7/10

Bit silly to criticise on that level when almost by its very definition (sci-fi) it will be contrived.

Artistically it's a very nice piece of work, and I feel much the same about Prometheus fwiw

I watched The Accountant the other evening, probably the best film I've seen this year 9/10. I saw Don't Breathe a couple of months ago and liked that too 8/10. Watched Dissapointment Room (more like Dissapointment film) 1 out of 10.
