A Million ways to die in The West
Best summed up as Blazing Saddles meets Family Guy in terms of humour. A lot of very clever gags, some utterly gross but for me some of the best laughs for ages. The nearest thing to a Mel Brooks comedy for a long time.
A bit crude but one I'll have to watch again to catch all the asides.
It's not Blazing Saddles so 8/10

Trainspotting 2. I enjoyed it and really liked the way they merged some of the original movie footage into some scenes. It was pretty well done. It's not going to enter the psyche of the current 18 - 30 generation like it did with my generation but I think this film is more for the original fans. I also like the subtle hints of music from the original that were reworked and introduced rather than just playing the old soundtrack through the new film.
I'd give it a solid 8.

Love this film. Very clever and somehow manages to look modern if that makes senseBest summed up as Blazing Saddles meets Family Guy in terms of humour. Just finished watching Split.
M Night seems to be back on form with this one.
And a twist and a half at the end.
7.5/10
I had not realised it was a MNS film before deciding to go see it on Saturday. Might not have gone if i had known. Many of his films are open ended, unresolved, involve the supernatural etc M Night seems to be back on form with this one.

I'd give it a 7.5 out of ten purely because of the acting - McAvoy was scarily superb, but it was not an 'enjoyable' watch at all.
And the twist at the end actually spoilt it to me. My other half had not seen that film (like others) that the twist refers to so it would be pointless for many.

Good film though, and McAvoy did a really good job with the characters.

Your 8 y/o definitely will and your 10 y/o may struggle with the first 10 mins or so as it is all about a kid's nightmare.
They equally paid great attention to the film. There's a couple of places I'm not sure they could get, like monster stories #2 and #3, but overall we enjoyed it. Thanks again for answering. The Accountant. 7/10
I didn't think it was all that original, sort of takes aspects of other films and glues them together to make something new.
Anyway, short-story where you learn about the protagonist through a series of flash-backs, playing alongside another ultraviolent short-story set in the current day – combined they add up to a 2 hour action film. I think the makers would like to think of it as a High Brow Thriller, but the hows and whys give way to lots of martial arts and gun-play pretty early on, it’s a few pithy lines away from an 80’s Action Movie.
It’s not bad though, just more sizzle than steak a lot of the time.

I think not.
Gone Girl!
Just astonishingly good!
And a great advert for staying single and never marrying!
Either that or the only film you've viewed prior to these two average outings was 'The Last Airbender'...
