Whether you've seen it before or not, Tucker and Dale vs Evil is on Horror channel tonight at 9. It is brilliant. That is all.
Give reasons.
Because it is freaking hilarious. It's really good too!
It does turn the horror genre on its head and as a result is very funny. Bit gory for me though, but then again I tend not to watch horror stuff anyway.

The Murray medley continues:

What about Bob? This is great! Right up there with Stripes in my book. Bill plays a neurotic guy who annoys his psychotherapist. Very funny and likeable character. 10/10.

Rock the Kasbah. Bill plays a talent scout/manager who finds talent in Afghanistan of all places. It's an interesting storey set in an interesting location and it does get you thinking about human/female rights in a place like that, which really saves the film, because the comedy wasn't that good. 7/10.

Kingpin. Woody Harrelson plays the central character as a champion bowler with Bill Murray as his rival. The humour is very...icky... I can see teenagers loving this film, but I wasn't crazy about it. Quite a few scenes had me grimacing. I would have found it funnier after a few beers I think. A film of dislikeable characters. I was disappointed with this one as I like watching Woody Harrelson usually. 5.5/10.

Kingpin was the second Faralley Bros film, I think it's weaker than D&D, but Bill's performance is a standout.

Deadpool.

Enjoyed it even more the second time around, as I'd missed many of thr one liners and throw away gags. Much better than Suicide Squad.

The Lego Batman Movie - 8.5/10

Loved it, captured the fun and madness of the Lego Movie really well. Batman fans will have a field day, waaaaay too many references to take in during one sitting.

Mystic River after a recommendation on here. A simple story, well told. Excellent. 9/10.

Not exactly cheery stuff mind, I shall pop out for Lego Batman tomorrow to compensate.

Hacksaw Ridge

Forrest Gump meets Private Ryan.
An above average war film with plenty of gore easily matching PrivRyan's Normandy opening, but this time in Okinawa.
Based on true events, our hero was a truly brave soldier and the cameo interviews with the original guys makes compulsive watching to hear their first hand recollections.
Basically in two halves - our hero's childhood, upbringing and background leading from his training to the second half which is the intense combat scenes. Not for the squeamish.
Well worth a watch 8/10.

Last night watched The Arrival and Dirty Grandpa

The Arrival was ok, obviously 1996 X-files-esk story line but not a bad watch, would say higher than the Netflix rating gives it - 6/10 from me

Dirty Grandpa - think Dude where's my car but with Robert Dinero - some genuine laugh out moments, especially the insults on the golf course, 7/10

What with all the discussion about La La Land and musicals I thought I would watch Little Shop of Horrors, a film I have been aware of since childhood, but never sat and watched. Got bored during the singing bits, started browsing the web, film became an annoying distraction to the browsing....switched off. 1/10.

Girl on the train.

Emily Blunt is a alcoholic woman whose borderline stalker. No empathy for the character. Or any of them tbh. Story is way too slow moving. Got 25 mins in and turned it off.

Probably a chick flick more I guess. Avoid
