Films I watched this week

Logan
A superhero drama done as a gritty western style road trip. I thought it was excellent and I am looking forward to seeing it again. Very violent; the 15 rating is well-deserved. The violence is graphic and in horror movie territory. I thought it enhanced the story, but I can see that it might put some people off. I'm not sure what it would need to be an 18; some sex maybe?
They were being very strict in our cinema. A lad and his father in front of us were refused entry. Luckily my daughter had her driving licence with her.

When I saw it a woman walked in with her son who looked 9-10 years old. I would imagine she may have to deal with some nightmaresA superhero drama done as a gritty western style road trip. I watched it again last weekend and enjoyed it more than the first time.Lots of WTF!

It's in-your-face and lacking in depth, but it is unique and some of the stunt choreography is outstanding. There are many scenes where I was thinking "How on earth did they do that!"

Passengers
I really enjoyed this, thought it was well produced and visually impressive. It was also an interesting scenario to be presented with although I think they could have played on it a bit more in the script.

I enjoyed it as well. Nice to see a space programme that doesn't descend into zombies, aliens or gore. Wish we had seen it in 3d now.I really enjoyed this, thought it was well produced and visually impressive. I thought it was OK. Like you say it was nice that it didn't turn into an Alien fest and was more of a human story. My gripe with it was that it was a bit more of a chick flick than I was expecting. My other half really enjoyed it and she hates sci-fi and space movies. Was that really Laurence Fishburne? Wow, big chap!

Saw a great Italian movie called Perfect Strangers (almost certain to get a Hollywood remake the plot was so good).
A bunch of friends talk over dinner about how their lives are on their mobile phones. They agree (some reluctantly) to share with the table anything that comes across their phones during the course of the evening. Of course a train wreck follows....
