My step daughter recommended me a film which she said was 'Amazing'. I couldn't rent it from Amazon, not on Sky and Netflix, so I decided to buy it.

Snowpiecer (2013)

'Set in a future where a failed climate-change experiment kills all life on the planet except for a lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system emerges.'

It was strange, but very watchable. One thing (amongst many) that didn't add up was the fat lady. After 17 years of living off a single jelly-like 'Protein Block', made from insects each day, how the hell did she keep her rotundness!

Biopic about Ray Kroc - they guy that built McDonald's

Very good presentation, Keaton is awesome (I am loving his revival) and a cold hard look at how the company was created 8/10

The morlocks.

It's not a bad movie as long as you don't think too much about the set up.

Bored last night I watched After Earth.

Part of me really liked it, the other just wanted to fall asleep.

SMH.

That film perfectly encapsulates why Jaden Smith is a douchebag. In case you weren't aware.

I wasn't aware but he played a petulant child very well. Why is he a douchebag?

"Played". biggrin

Aside from the fact he has no business being on screen as he has inherited precisely zero talent from his dad and is only there as Pops is no doubt pulling some strings, but this should help illuminate things:

that link, no different to any other kid really.

As for nepotism. If, when my daughter is old enough, I am in a position to give her a job at the top, she will get one (but have to work her way up to understand the roles below).

She'll be made MD like in every other small company in the land.

He acted quite well in AE I thought.

But if she was incompetent in the role she was given, I'd redefine the role. Unlike friends and other members of my family, my parents handed me down nothing so if I do well enough for myself for my daughter to benefit, that is what will happen and if anyone whines and moans about it, I would suggest they have a go at their parents for not working harder to offer them the same benefit.

And you don't see any issue with that at all? scratchchin

Either way, Jaden Smith can't act for toffee and his dad should feel embarrassed for continuing to get him roles. biggrin
