I thought it was a strong 9/10.
Didnt find the kid annoying (certainly not compared to War of the Worlds kid).
Best superhero movie for a long time & best x-men movie. A far better representation of Wolverine.

we havea lot to thank Deapool for.
watch the RLM review for the comparison to the other Wolverine film, laughable.

Still only 8/10 for me. I'm not into the comics and full universe stuff so it's just a film featuring a particular character I've seen before in my eyes. I was glad I went to the cinema for it though because the entire place shaking when they were in the hotel (not giving anything away here before spoiler people freak out) wouldn't have been as involving at home. Unless I invested in a mega surround sound system!
That whole scene was fantastic. In fact there were so many good ones.Might even do something I have not done since I was about 10 and go and watch it again.

Serpico - Also good 7/10 - far more rounded character than most inside cop things.
You might also like to try and find "Dog day afternoon"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne6KMHLTvik

Also - ScarFace (I know! Another classic that I just hadn't got round to watching!!) of all three this was my favourite, and it's interesting to see how many 'nods' have been made to it in other films, music, tv... lots of memorable quotes and scenes.
I've since heard a remake is being talked about - not sure that's going to be a good thing, but then again maybe I should watch the original Scarface first!

It certainly suckered me in, I put some of the negativity down to sexism, but no, it's just a really crap film.
Agreed - it's dire.Good to see cameos from original cast members (although I wonder whether they cringed after seeing the final cut) as well as multiple nods to the 'proper' Ghostbusters movies. Other than that, the film left me totally flat. Little humour, found 2 of the 3 leads plain irritating, just weak all round - even some snazzy effects couldn't save it.
A poor effort - 3/10.

Loving this free Amazon Prime "Films Wot Grumbledoak Missed" lark.
Just watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Swedish language with subtitles version from 2009. I loved the books, and I really liked the low key feel of the film. Reminded me of Wallander, if you've seen that but not this. 8/10.

The 3rd one should have been titled "revenge".

I wouldn't care if no other Fox X-Man film existed, save maybe for Deadpool, I'm into shared universes, but not this one. The point was that Deadpool allowwed this last version of Hugh's Logan to be a vision rather than a run by the numbers.SS2. said:

It's a real shame that Ghost Busters 3 never happened, I know they tried and tried to get it off the ground for years, Bill Murray as ever being difficult to get on board, but when Harold Ramis, they should have let it die with him.
We should have known it was going to be crap, even during production they didn't know what it was going to be, it was going to be a straight sequel, then it was going to be a reboot, then it was going to be a reboot, but in the same 'universe' as the originals, how many re-writes and hack edits must have taken place.

It is a bit of a 'Marmite' film. I get that. I thought it a bit slow at the top, but loved the last 15 minutes.
Arrival & Interstellar are high concept movies, which I reckon is to be welcomed, even if the execution is less than perfect. Anything that demands you pay attention to an idea, actually work stuff out as opposed to letting cowboys & Indians in space wash over you is surely a good thing, no?
