I just read that John Williams didn't do the whole score - My mistake.
Didn't do any of it - the spin offs are in a lot of ways kept separate for some reason or other. So Spins Off (Rogue One, next year's Han Solo film and the 3rd one plot unknown) don't get any of the usual Star Wars Themes, they're obviously made familiar but those ones were done by Michael Giacchino, John Williams only does the core series apparently - also no Jedis and no opening scrawl.

Fate of the furious.
The very definition of a brain out popcorn movie. From drag racing a flaming car in reverse to 150 mph submarines this covers a lot of ground and It's way more fun than it has any right to be.
It can only be a matter of time before Statham and the Rock get a spin off movie.
8/10

Late to the party; Rogue One.
Meh.
As mentioned, heroes go here, get into trouble, escape, end up somewhere else, get into trouble, escape blah blah blah.
Almost, ALMOST made up for by the way the ending tied into the original Star Wars. Had the same chills as when Han and Chewie made their first appearance in TFA.
Not keen on CGI Moff and Leia though.

I saw this years ago, and didn't think much of it.
TBH, I found it better this time round. Standard Guy Ritchie "gangster" flick
Good fun. And interesting to see Butler, Hardy, Elba and Strong before they really hit the big time. (Sadly that means they'll probably never do the sequel)

Moana
Good, but not as good as Frozen.
8/10
The Magnificent Seven (2017)
Absolute rubbish. Needlessly mean and nasty. The characters are not introduced distinctively (surely the point) and the final battle is tedious.
3/10
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Very well done, but feels like an inferior copy. Pointless really.

Not funny. At all. I'm staggered this dogst was ever released. Turned it off after half an hour. fk off Adam Sandler.
1/10.
He's done some utter st recently. Used to love Happy Gilmore and a few of his other ones. I think I've seen 1 of his new ones on NetFlix that was watchable. The others have all been total ste including Sandy Wexler. What a total waste of my life. Wonder if I can send him a bill for my time? Not funny. At all. I'm staggered this dogst was ever released. Caught this last night & like you, thought it was better on a second watch. The characters were pretty standard Guy Ritchie gangsters but Tom Wilkinson as Lenny was outstanding. I had to Google him to be sure it was the same guy from The full Monty, which is a decent endorsement of his talent for my money.(was on Dave the other night)

Gran torino superb film
I love that film. I watched sully last night which I though was very good, but sitting through the credits saw that Clint Eastwood wrote the music as well. I was wondering if he was channeling Dennis Waterman? Write the theme toon, sing the theme toon....Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
