I really enjoyed the series!

I only have two issues,

Firstly as I've read 'Killing Pablo' I know series 2 is either going to be a mini-series or a bit slow, unless they go off-piste with the story.

Secondly, and this is the big one - I've been off work with pneumonia for 2 weeks, so I watched the last few episodes in one go, without my Wife, she keeps asking "shall we watch Narcos" and I keep saying not to rush it, I'll give it a week and I'll be ready for a second go.

After your recommendations in this thread I have been watching narcos and have just finished episode 8. Really enjoying it. It I am surprised that no-one has yet mentioned the use of cars which from the wrong years. In the last few episodes I have seen Pablo riding in a discovery and Valeria riding in an E39 BMW.

That e39 has indeed already been mentioned.

The occasional "aircraft taking off and landing" shots grate a bit too: there was one of a C17 (mid 90s) and a couple of 737-7/800s (late 90s). Wouldn't have been too hard to get right.

On the other hand, my wife was talking to a Colombian friend who was around during that era, and she said that it's completely spot on in its depiction of Colombia, even down to the accents and slang used.

It does jar when you spot things like that. Just watched the second episode and still loving it yet there must be sommat wrong with me as even I spotted the aircraft taking off from Miami with the DEA agent and his wife on board had winglets, and even though I may not know the exact model designation, I do know that these were not around in the late 80s.

Also later, when they are having a shag, she has a finely inked tattoo under her left breast. It's a tiny sentence in joined up script, very 21st century surely.

This annoyed me greatly whilst watching the first episode.

I look forward to spotting this when I watch the second. wobble

just watched them all this weekend. A very good series. Though agree with others, within the first 3 minutes of watching the first episode I noticed in the car park a large modern dome security camera.

Really enjoying this so far (and watching with Miss dub16v) - am up to episode 7. It's certainly made me want to read more about Colombian history!

was half expecting George Jung to appear in one of the episodes.
It's sort of odd he's not mentioned or in it as Jung and Carlos Lehder were partners in the beginning

Another goof. The Columbian army guy, I forget his name, carries an M4 rifle, everyone knows that they did not come into service until 1994 getmecoat

wow, simply wow.

One of the best things I have ever watched. Utterly gripping, I loved every second of it. Fast paced, utterly gobsmacking. I want to learn more about this, what's real what isn't but I have held back to stop me finding out the outcome of series two.

I watched the entire series in a couple of days I couldn't switch it off.

10/10

I'm just posting this for series two....smile
