I don't think they are. I think they are finished with Mexico now but did feel they had maybe set things up with a few trips int California to show how things move up there?

If they could go into El Chapo story would be incredible.

Yeah, they've said no series 4 of Narcos Mexico. I was also expecting series 3 would have more of a focus on Chapo, seeing as he's probably the most well known Mexican Narco.

I do recommend watching the Netflix series "El Chapo" though. It's also very good (but for me, just a little below the standard of Narcos, but still good)

On a related note I found that Bad Lip Reading have tackled Narcos. Worth a watch if you enjoyed the series (May contain spoilers)

It is, well worth a watch.

I think season4 would be impossible for them. Events would be so current, that researching/filming in Mexico would pose them at risk.

Especially as Chapo still controls things via his gangs/family, as does Edina Arello Felix also. And Mayo (albeit in his 70s).

I can't imagine folks like that, are going to take kindly to Netflix poking around in what is current affairs.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it. As I think the story needs to be told. But, there's be too much at risk.

A bit of a thread revival. I'm just into Series (not season!!) 2 and I love it.

If it's fairly accurate then that was a crazy crazy time in that part of the world.

We spent our honeymoon on Margarita in 2000 and flew back from Caracas. Many on our flight came from Bogota so security was bonkers!

I just finished Narcos (Season 1 to 3) and I thought it was excellent. After that I started El Chapo was good but it did seem a bit low budget compared to Narcos and surprised that some of the actors didn't reprise their roles (Joaquin, Avendano brothers or even Escobar).

I loved series 1 & 2 but I've still got to watch series 3. I've just got too many box sets to catch up on and once you've slipped behind it's hard to catch up.
