Watched 'Remember' - Really enjoyed this film, Christopher Plumber is brilliant in it!
Just watched this - really good. <snip> Give it a go, it's a slow burn, but a really really tense scene in the middle with 'Hank' from Breaking Bad.
Just watched this, very good and thanks for the recommendation! It would've been better if I hadn't read your slightly spoilery post rednotdead, which I've amended above... Any chance of amending your original post for the benefit of future thread readers?

Bosch is fantastic, I loved it and binged both seasons in a fortnight.
I'm really enjoying Bosch. Got into it right away after the first episode.

One thing that's slightly annoying: It's as though his watch is the star of the show instead of him. Every single shot it's right there in your face no matter what he's doing. Once you've noticed it you can't stop noticing it! It's at the forefront of every camera angle and his shirt sleeves are always rolled up so it's on display.

Every episode is like an hour long Rolex advert!

Love Bosch too, looking forward to the new season. Covering the first Bosch book, which was a story I enjoyed.

Started watching Man in the High Castle a week or two back, loved the first two episodes but I'm now up to about episode 6 or 7 and it's become really very mediocre so think I'm going to drop it.

Started watching Goliath last night, really enjoyed the first episode and hope it continues as strongly.

Also watched Sneaky Pete without realising it was purely a single pilot - really enjoyed it, thought it was very good. I believe the first series appears in the next week or two.

That was great, loved the level of profanity
I thought the image on Prime was a bit risque for a kids movie so i put it on as background noise while i worked, when they first started swearing and the 'gore' happened, it peaked my interest alot more

Cell 211 and before I go to sleep. Might have already been mentioned but not read back.

Really, really enjoyed Goliath. Think I watched the whole series in about 4 days!

Bosch is a great series. I normally avoid Police type programmes like the plague, but this is a really good series

Watched 'a most violent year' the other night.

It absolutely bombed at the box office 2 years ago and vanished into obscurity but it's actually a really good film I thought. A slow burner but a good story.
Watched the first half of this around this time, went back the next day, had gone from free to ppv! bds!

Is now on iplayer thankfully, have seen the end!

Have noticed a few other free things go chargeable, watched Rise of the Footsoldier part 1, mainly because the rest were also included. Now parts 2/ 3 are ppv frown

So after a bit of binge watching, I've now watched all of:

Man in the High Castle
Goliath
Bosch

All very good and would highly recommend. Those 3 series alone have been worth what I paid for Prime in my opinion.

But... I'm now 9 episodes in to Mr Robot, and it's really grating on me now. I don't think I can watch any more. I was hoping it would be a really intelligent drama about computer hacking and disrupting society, which it started off as, but the episodes rapidly descended into an copy of Fight Club. People don't really exist and most of the story is just a figment of the main character's imagination. There's loads of scenes in it that have nothing to do with the story, but feel like they were just chucked in there. Cannot be arsed with convoluted story lines like that. It's trying too hard to full of massive plot twists and anarchy but Fight Club did it all in 1999.

A complete 'meh' from me.

I really enjoyed Bosch too, probably one of the best police dramas I've watched as they usually get a bit samey but Bosch didn't, great villains in it too.

Mr. Robot I got through the first season, definitely weak bits but overall was OK. Gave up a few episodes into second season though, the pacing just seemed off.

I would also still recommend Mad Dogs if you like crime/drama, it's quite funny and follows a group of guys out of their depth who just keep digging themselves deeper in it in every episode.

Preacher I gave up a few episodes in, it seemed OK but just didn't grab me quick enough I think.

I think the problem with Mr Robot is that all of the characters are totally infuriating and you find yourself unable to root for any of them. You just spend your time trying to decide which character you dislike the least.

Breaking bad was the same for me. I just found the behaviour of every character infuriating.

I cant get into Bosch at all, I've tried I think its the actor, I just find him intensely unbelievable for the part and annoying.

Having read most of the books I think he gets Bosch spot on.
But, if you don't like it you don't like it.
I did though.

Just started watching Mad Dogs last night, looks good so far!

Echo the comments on Goliath, Start Up and Bosch all great!

Citizen Soldiers. A feature length documentary about National Guard soldiers posted to Afghanistan. Some pretty powerful stuff in there
